Intel: Gai knows Danzo is using a jutsu to make him immortal, but doesn't know the details of izanagi.

Im going with danzo, but Ill lets others make arguments for guy, before I say why

Since Guy doesn't know the details of izanagi, he doesn't know Izanagi can spawn to its liking. Once Guy "kills/beats" Danzo, He appears behind him and slaps a seal. The match is over.

lol Fodder, thats cute. Sasuke The manga so far has shown only ONE way, will clear up the exception of vs Sasuke, of breaking/beating Sealing Techs. To beat a Seal jutsu is to beat it with another seal, I could only find two examples [

]. I seen some people claiming since Sasuke method worked, meaning all they need to do to break Danzo's curse is to "power up" your chakra level. Wrong, what made Sasuke able to break it was through two things, and that is listening to Tobirama's analysis. [

IF you look carefully in Danzo's fight Sasuke you see it happening at 476 pg 6-8, remembering what Itachi sacrifice for him. That said to counter this jutsu requires the "emotional state of mind" and "the special chakra", both applying to break this curse. And the fact Danzo gave him too much time trying to get in Sasuke's head.

Also gates require specific hand movements to unlock the gates.

Blitzing him again, means sacrificing his body to slap another tag on him.

I doubt Sasuke broke through a paralysis seal simply because of his emotions directly. His emotions led him to manifest Susano which is a manifestation of chakra. The gates do this as well. And I don't think the gates require hand seals. When guy used the gates with Kisama he was just standing still. When Kakashi opened the first gate he was hanging from a cliff. When guy opened the 7th gate against Madara same thing.

Danzo was free to do what he wanted, and he chose not to use the seal until some time in the fight, He wont use it right off the bat in charcater

OT: I think Danzo is a bad matchup for Gai IMO. Though Gai stomps him hard with the 8G. Anything below probably loses . The only way is if 7G Gai can blitz before Izanagi is used.

- That was clearly a long unavoidable range attack, which Izanagi mechanics was already known in that scenario. Guy is a close range fight who does not know the mechanics on Izanagi, so its a surprise attack from the beginning.

-Using his fight against Sasuke doesn't prove thats exactly how he will fight with everyone else. Keep this up and your post will be ignored

Danzo had the opportunity to attack and he went in for the kill immediately using kunai, thats what he does and all other ninjas who are fighting to kill

The seal is a restraining jutsu not a killing jutsu, you are trying to make Danzo dumb by having him take a round about way to kill someone when he has much quicker way, stick to the canon Danzo not the fanfictional one
