Its no sure bet. A, who was the fastest person in Narutoverse for quite some time had to use his full speed to fool Sharingan eyesight and dodge Amaterasu. IMO 7th gate guy is sliglthy slower than A, but would that be sufficient? I dont know.

Anyway, Im talking about MS Sasuke, current Sasuke was able to track Juubito with his eyes, so...

Amatersu is overrated, but, yes guy can dodge it.

Unless he can somehow outspeed the users vision, he can't. Sasuke missed Ay because he could not follow him with his eyes, which is what Amaterasu requires. Sasuke can now follow the likes of Juubito. Unless Gai is faster than the Juubi's Jinchuriki, he isn't going to outspeed Amaterasu.

I think he meant he could use the aura to push Amaterasu off him if it did hit him, similar to how Nagato used a small scale Shinra Tensei.

If he activated it at the right time then it might be able to considering it pushed a large volume of water back, but if he's already in Gates then no, it's just sweat evaporating at an extreme rate.
