After Gai got done kicking Madara into next week and his 8 gates was over, his chakra point @ the heart started to grow back slowly when Naruto was there. So at first look, it seems like Gai will survive.
But there is also possibility that his body is just beyond repair right now, and even having his chakra return won't be enough to save his life.
So, should Gai live or die? Would his survival undercut the sacrifice and passing of the torch to Lee, or is it too hard to see an awesome character like Gai die?
Also, I thought this would make an interesting poll...
