Gai Sensei's Summon

[My way of Ninja]

Hello ppl, Hope u find this interesting.. I always wanted discuss this with someone but it never happened.. Here it goes

Just before the Chuunin Exams, when Lee challenges Sasuke to a fight & when he uses the forbidden move on Sasuke,
a Turtle appears and stops Lee..

Then Gai appears on the Turtle and later scolds Lee & asks him if he is ready to face the consequences lol....

Summons
Jiraiya=Toad , Orochimaru=Snake , Tsunade=Slug
Gai = Turtle ?????????

I do not recall Gai ever summoning a turtle again.. Do you guys think that this Turtle is Gai's summon ??? Or is it just a talking turtle which
happen's to be Gai's friend... or is it the transformed form of one of Gai's Kage Bunshin ..

What do you guys think ...

lol... I agree with both .
But do you think he summoned it anytime.. I started reading the manga only after Naruto comes back from Training with Jiraiya (Shippuden) ! I only watched anime before that. Was this the only time that Turtle was shown ? I think so but i am not sure...

Gai must be pretty powerful too :S. we know he is strong though, Taijutsu and all, but summons tooo ?? He must summon it to fight Pein now. That would be cool

okkk. Thanks for clarifying.. Gai, who is Kakashi's rival has a summon too !
Do you guys think Kakashi has one too ?? We know he summons Ninja dogs ( Pakkun & co ) to track down people by Scent. But can he summon anything else in a fight.

They are Cute, especially Pakkun with his deadpan face & Wisecracks but they cant fight

Kakashi's dogs are useful in fights, for example they used an earth technique and came out of the ground to attack Zabuza and hold him in place while Kakashi struck him with Chidori.

yea.. forgot that .That fight takes me way back. I enjoyed those early episodes a lot ! I think we need as many people as can be managed fighting Pein with all they can summon.. Turtles, Slugs and what not... Pein's such a tricky Guy.... who else in Konoha is capable of using Summons in a fight ? We now know of Tsunade & Gai

lol... Gai will make his Nice guy Pose and Pein will have a change of heart & will find true Peace

Well, a lot of Kishi's idea's changed in the beginning of the manga, perhaps he wanted the turtle to be a central character, or maybe Gai's summon.
We all know now that Gai can't summon shit, he can't even form a ninjutsu, let alone summon anything.
Like I said, Kishi changed a lot of stuff around during the start of Naruto, so I would imagine that he just scrapped the idea of having some weird turtle character.

kakshi has summons too his ninja hounds and the 3rd had a monkey summon

I think the turtle was just used as a pedestal for Gai to flaunt his manliness more.

I bougth naruto ultimate ninja 3 yesterday, and in the game there was some kind of questions that i have 2 answer. 1 of them was

Wath type of animal does gai sensei summons?
And the answer was turtle. So i guess thats is summon.
