Authors intent, portrayal, kisame's own statements make it clear that if they were to fight, Jiraiya would win.

and by portrayal Kurama is stronger than the hachibi. Unless you want to argue that portrayal is always false, bringing up one example does nothing to discredit a specific character vs character comparison made by the author on multiple occasions.

Why do I have to accept all hype? If hype is contradicted by other hype, then there's no reason I have to accept the contradicted hype. Then there's the fact that some hype are based on the context of the statement and not to be taken as a universal rule.

So when you agree with me that Kurama is stronger than the hachibi by hype, then you agree that some hype can be true, then you can't discredit all hype simply because you can get an example or two about hype being false.

The question is did he win and u keep saying Kisame like he solo'd all the time we know the true strength came from Itachi on that team I hate to say it and human handled them both......

the question was whether or not Gai can take out high lvl ninja at 5-7 Gates. And judging by the dmg that was done by the atks, i'd say so. Every high lvl ninja isn't built like Kisame or have the restorative abilities that come with being a JJ.

When Jman is given multiple statements that put him above Kisame, if Jman doesn't have the feats to beat him, then it just means that Kishi hasn't shown everything Jman has in his arsenal.
