Well, it is the 8th gate. It isn't speculation. It's a manga rule. The final power is almost always much greater than the previous ones.

His speed and strength is already inhuman. He is faster than Kakashi's Kamui, something that we all thought was instant up until now.

So yes, the 8th gate would temorarily make Gai godly. It would make Gai thousands of times more powerful than the 7th gate. But that also means thousands of times faster.

6 gate is already beyond hypersonic. 7th gate is even beyond that. 8th gate we would expect relativistic speeds.

But Gai just came out of nowhere, from the far distance, and intercepted an orb just inches away from Kakashi's face.

You do know right that obito using kamui for himself to jump to other dimention is what it takes time.
Where as if he can use it against an opponent its instant, read the manga kid he clearly explains it why is it slow for himself but for not the others.

This thread isn't stupid, only half of you NB members are. Gai was about to go 8th Gate to deflect 5 TBB at point blank range only for Naruto to come and do exactly what he did except his form has no downside. So it might have been possible for him to deflect the juubi TBB you slaves.
