Gai or guy?

I know the right one is gai but why did some naruto games and eps say guy?
Was it a subbing problem?Or just i simple typing/writing or w/e problem?Or something else?

The right one is Guy, not Gai.

It's Gai. It is a Japanese name, remember. Guy is the anglicised version of Gai, ie. it's what comes natural to an English speaker, and thus it is what most non-Japanese might say/spell it as.
