Gai opening 8 gates real or not?

In the Manga stream version it doesn't say that Gai will use the 8th gate, but in the Manga panda version it does.

Which one should I believe?

I'm leaning towards Manga stream and Gai NOT using it, because I'm pretty sure Manga stream would have translated it too.
