So in the newest chapter, Gai was shown to be kicking air allowing himself to jump mid-air.

Which is technically how Sanji's Sky walk works in One Piece. The idea is basically the same.

Anyways just wanted everyone to know that Kishi most likely took inspiration from One Piece. U_U

Yep. Gai is retiring from Naruto and joining up with the Strawhat Crew in One Piece. #Jumpin'Manga
Must be why One Piece is on break this week. Oda is adding Gai in to where he belongs.

Noooooooooo

What do you mean good fit? Explain yourself sir
Gai is a humorous but badass character, unlike most of the mostly serious characters Kishi has. While Oda has many humorous yet badass characters. Plus Gai can use sky walk, he's a good fit man!

Perhaps. But in onepiece death is not a requirement to skywalk.

And Oda most likely took inspiration for diable jamble, from Guys Morning Peacock.(causeing flames with friction).

It is entirely possible that kishi just made up the idea originally for this, or copied from db/z(i dont know haveing seen every episode).

I once thought of a invention idea, that I though NOBODY else had thought of. Turns out it is a real thing, that has existed before I thought of it.

Whatever the inspiration behind guys kicking air, I dont care and am fine with.

Guy was boss and did not disappoint my expectations. Kishi has given the 8th gate just what it needed.

(guy would fit in just fine in the onepiece universe. )
