if gai fight while looking at his feet how will he know when amaterasu is coming and he will need his gates to dodge that and a susanoo arrow 8 gates isnt giving him the power to break susanoo especially version 3 ribcage didnt get broke by tsunade alone she had a help so what makes you think gai is breaking it?

Gai can open 6 of the gates and wreck sasuke to the point where he has to susano then he can go and do his strongest technique or he can go 8 gates and just destroy sasukes susano.... and kill sasuke with the same move he did on kisame...

Im sorry, but the 8th gate is pretty much a gg for anyone, excluding those who can avoid being hit like tobito's s/t jutsu. Even Perfect Susanoo probably wouldnt last ten seconds against it.
