Do you people seriously think Kishi would kill off Gai cheaply by Madara's black spheres? I guess, Kishi is stalling his death, so that before he dies, he could bid farewell to Lee and give off a nice speech like Asuma. This is what I'm assuming, I'm staying positive.

I feel like Gai gave his parting speech to Lee prior to opening the Eight Gate. At this point, not reviving him would kind of downplay Naruto's new abilities, in my opinion at least.
