In scenario two I'm not quite sure what to think because it was never revealed to what extent Gai was damage beyond what we saw against Madara. Can he still open the gates? etc... If he can't then Naruto negs.

I thought that too, but his mobility would be severely restricted, and if Naruto can blend in with his clones I think he could dodge it. I think it still goes to Gai 10/10 times though. Scenario 2 is the more interesting one. I think it would be very close
