But Madara destroyed Gokage + Tobi + Hashi + Minato

So why bother with the 8th gate? Illogical suicide from Gai?

++ Madara seems to know everything about the 8th gate, even telling "Gai to use red blood steam if he wants to fight him"

This is a good sign that you in fact should not use the 8th gate, beacause at the best it will stall Madara a bit.
