Gai could survive

I personally think that Gai will survive! Even though they said a person dies from opening the 8th gate ;-) I don't know how yet, but I don't think he is going to make it on his own. Probably Naruto/Sasuke in SO6P mode giving him chakra.

So many people think that Gai will survive... Why? All these flashbacks about his father who died to protect him. And what is Gai doing now? Sacrificing himself for the younger generation. He has already accepted death, and it shall come.

Don't get me wrong, I like him and it will make me sad to see him die... but he has to, he's ready to...
Him being the red leaf of autumn, which will eventually perish, but at the same time become the nourishment for new fresh leaves of spring, is already a perfect way to go... and it will eventually build up to become a very beautiful death scene, which Kishi is so good at making.

Gai might die,earlier in an interview Kishimoto said that three major Konoha characters will die,First was Neji and Gai might be the second.
