Seriously he's better then then the bijuu being inside of him for one he can sleep now thts why he was able to move quicker and use his own reflexes in battle everybody gets power ups in this manga but him he only has one ability but he's on par with the big leagues still like naruto (until he became friends with kurama now he shits on everybody but madara) and sasuke as well

Why does everybody think gaara is slow I dnt understand tht 0.0 in part 1 his sand was right behind lee when he was attacking him and has gotten even faster

And speed can't beat gaara by its self as seen with lee
Lee didn't damage gaara at all all he did was damage the sand amor he wears now tht shit can take a beating from 5 gates lee imagine now
Lee didn't get through his defense he tried to outrun it but still failed in the end

The only person who's actually bested gaara's defense was sasuke he's the only one tht went through it and thts because of 1 gaara underestimated him he didn't protect his sand ball he thought it was invincible

Deidara couldn't get passed it so he used village as hostage and blew up his defense from the inside and his sand ball was still protecting him till he lost conciousness. Btw tht fight was plot it clearly said in the manga when gaara loses conciousness or goes to sleep Skiaku comes out 0.0 tht didn't happen I was like. 0.0
Thts why he had to knock himself out in chunin exams


Yeah but speed (shown by lee) isn't enough to get pass gaara sand witch isn't slow at all it has block Mokoton witch is an instantaneous Forrest

its not just speed, its attack at blinding speed at extremely close range...Lee or gai when they release the gates.
the mreason its not just speed is becuase when sasuke used his black flames, didnt put its name cos i cant spell it XD
his sand caught it ther moment it appeared. now that was really fast! it bassically spawn right next to him, what im getting at is if one attack at high speed can get his sand distracted.
