Who do you think would win? This is pretty evenly tied for me. So help me discuss with this.

Location: DESERT OASIS - SAND AND WATER RATIO is 50:50
STATUS: PRIME

Gaara can counter edo with sealing techniques and has great survivability and defensive skills
he also has one of best AoE skills in the naruto we have witnessed.

Tobirama also has one of the best offensive skills in chakra nature we have ever seen. that water bullets
just pierces through rocks and as for his AoE skills he can cover the whole battlefield with water.

Sensory Abilities - pretty evenly tied, Gaara can detect any incoming attack because the sand is passive to protect him. As for Tobirama he can put his finger in the ground and detect the enemy location in an instant.

Chakra Reserve - not sure which one got the bigger tank.

If i miss something on their abilities please add it up i'm kinda lazy sorry.

IF we bring all the available information on their abilities who do guys think would win?

Let's Say Tobirama can use all of the water release that has been shown in the manga and anime just to visualize the fight better. exclude Kisame's water shark release that one is unique to him

If a weakened version of Tobirama no where near a water source bypassed Hiruzen's doton with his suiton, I am absolutely confident a full powered Tobirama nearby a large water source could pierce Gaara's sand.

I'm going with Tobirama.
If a weakened version of Tobirama no where near a water source bypassed Hiruzen's doton with his suiton, I am absolutely confident a full powered Tobirama nearby a large water source could pierce Gaara's sand.

Gaara can mix his sand with minerals and that's a very versatile and ingenious ability to have. when he fought the 2nd mizukage he mixed his sand with gold and the oil bullets didn't pierced the sand again. oil is also heavier than water. we can't underestimate the kazekage

Tobirama wins by using the "Racism-no-jutsu"... telling Gaara that he is a subhuman and calling the young man "Pure evil" since it's obvious that Gaara has serious emotional problems do to being raised by a very stupid man wasting the countries gold reserve's just so he could be able to mix it with his sand...

Difficulty... I'd say probably 6 or 7 since it's safe to say that Gaara won't just go quietly to the ghetto previously occupied by the Uchiha clan.

I disagree with the stamina part. Gaara has biju level chakra.I'm pretty sure he surpasses Tobirama. Gaara wins 7/10

If we are basing it off hype, I would say Tobirama, 7-9 difficulty.
Gaara is obviously one of the stronger Kages, there is no doubt there would be some major difficulty taking him down.

Gaara can overcome water as we have seen before, it's just a little harder, although we do not know the extent of Tobirama's space-time jutsu, or reanimation.


If we are going off what we have seen I'd say Gaara with a 7-8 difficulty.
The only thing that worries me is that maybe Tobirama's water bullets or water dragon could make it through his sand. Sarutobi's mud wall crumbled with two..

This also doesn't include the fact that when reincarnated he was in a weaker state.


I can really see how this could go either way. I'm a MAJOR fan-boy of both of these.

So i am going with gaara duo his sand jutsus he can protect himself very well against tobirama and create opening attacks against tobirama

I think Tobirama's FTG Slash is too fast for Gaara's sand to protect him.

Gaara's sand sensing would give him away before he was too close. Gaara would have more than enough time to defend.

Basing battle results on just one jutsu is just silly.

*note if it was true he had the Thunder God sword it might make a difference.

Gaara would sense him close, and his shield would protect him. Weapons tend to be useless against Gaara.
