Gaara vs Suigetsu

So Gaara's weakness is most likely water, so how would he compete with somebody who is entirely water? I think there are very few battles Gaara could lose, but this might be his Achilles Heel. Opinions?

there is no way that sui can cut trough gaaras sand and the sand is faster then suigetsu so im going with gaara after some sandcoffins also the body of sui will collapse

^What Zombie said. Sui was the most useless chararcter in Taka. Yes I ranked Karin higher than Sui. Sui tried to fight the strongest swordsman and wasn't making any headway. Kisame was just toying with him like he was a baby. Crap I don't think Sui can beat the other swordsman we have seen including zabuza.

Suigetsu is a member of the Hozuki clan. The second Mizukage is also a member of the Hozuki clan, and a stronger memeber. Gaara defeated the second Mizukage (with difficulty) and his sand only became hard to use because of the 2nd Mizukage's oily water, which Suigetsu has not shown to have. Therefor, Gaara wins.

this is an interesting matchup. both of them when they have their respective element present are rather strong. gaara with sand and suigetsu with water. However, gaara wins easy unless they are next to a large body of water. Suigetsu can utilize large bodies of water effectively as shown when fighting bee.

and as we have seen from all of gaara's battles, if he has a large amount of sand he is incredibly strong. Now the reason I said gaara wins easy unless near water, is because he can easily make sand.

So regardless of where they are, gaara can make sand to use. But unless suigetsu is near water, he can't do much. We are yet to see suigetsu able to use a large water jutsu able to produce the water himself.

not only has that been shown in the case of soely the 2nd Mizukage (due to his oil-based water), but Gaara beat the 2nd Mizukage, and he could use the Clam's Genjutsu and Joki Boi, neither of which Suigetsu can use (so far as we know). so Gaara takes it.

I'm going with a draw water is Garra's weakness but sand can aborb water so I think the battle will end in a draw
