Suigetsu is NOT the best water nin.
But I say Suigetsu, cause Gaara's sand is useless against water jutsus.

Gaara's defense would block all of Suigetsu's sword attacks, redering him nearly useless. AND as a fanboy speaking, Suigetsu isn't the best Water ninja. Kisame is a lot closer to being the best than Suigetsu is.
and sui water is useless when mixed with sand , ans the 2nd hokage was the only one capable of using water without a source so if the source ends he is died , but gaara will never run out of sand
I can't see Gaara sand hurting Suigetsu, Suigetsu hidratification maybe makes him vulnerable?
Suigetsu is an Hozuki, he have more Water Jutsus, he was able to stood agaisnt a TBB and he knows the Water Jutsu: Gun Shot (or w/e).
BUt it depends on the scenario, if it's in a desert, Gaara wins, if its near a lake or sea, then Suigetsu has the upper hand.

Gaara is loosing this thread? How? I went with Gaara, because I don't see how Suigetsu could beat him.
am i do believe gaara can still use his sand when it is wet, he has proven this already, reason why its not working against mizukage is cause his liquid is not water its more like oil.
However i chose suigetsu for this because u all are saying gaara can get hurt but he can, the person who cant get here is suigetsu because his body is liquid, you punch it goes right through him, gaara cannot damage suigetsu at all, however if suigetsu can even breach his sand for a minute and use water gun gaara is dead. face it gaara sucks, his sand is good for ntn.
