My computer has become slow as balls for some reason sorry. This is the best I can manage at the minute. A quote from Itachi.

Before using it on Kakashi in Part I, Itachi stated that Tsukuyomi can only be broken by a Sharingan user that shares the same blood as him; as demonstrated when Sasuke overcame Itachi's Tsukuyomi in their battle.

Either way, both the times Sasuke uses what you call Tsukuyomi, he has no side affects. He just carries on. Leads me to think it's not Tsuku. Also, the fact it is so feable again leads me to think it's not Tsuku. Could be wrong, frankly I'm not sure.

He held his eyes against bee which btw is the EXACT same reaction itachi had after using tsukyomi, and against danzo , 1 eye was closed and twitching... he couldnt move because he was paralyzed...

Saw it. Does seem like what Itachi is saying is that only his little brother could undo his. That said, Sasuke's Genjutsu's don't cause him any trouble with his eyes. Again, leads me to believe it is not Tsuku.

I am not sure about this. So what I am saying is neither argument gets my approval atm. What I will say is that is not too relevent to this thread, If you wanna continue this please make a new thread. This is about whether Sasuke Genjutsu can catch and beat Gaara. I don't think it can. Doesn't seem strong enough.

Also, Tobi says "even a weak little genjutsu with no staying power can be mighty" He then says "Sasuke placed 'A' Genjutsu on you"

Tobi/Madara does not recognise it as Tsukuyomi. Feel free to check the manga.

No normal genjutsu causes effects onto the ms.....or itachi would be HOLDING his eyes after every genjutsu he casted..., not only that but Sasukes ms was BRAND new... he just got it.. this was his first fight...

You've argued a good bunch of points. I would have prefered it be on a diff thread but hey. I'll give it to you that it looks like Sasuke does use Tsuku there. It does not look he uses it on Danzo though.
Anyway, good debating skills & use of evidence. Gotta give rep where it'sn due so +rep for that.
Still don't think Sasuke's Tsuku/Genjutsu will be enough to defeat Gaara.

lol yea it can't be compared to itachi's in no way whatso ever, its explicitly stated that Sasuke is more of a amaterasu user, Shapemanipulation etc with it, he fails at tsukyomi, BUT as shown there he can send spikes through your body and paralyze you.. without help you cant even move your hands or do anything

As danzo said itachi can manipulate your perception of time at his whim, thus can make that 1 second feel like however amount of days he wishes.... in kakashi's case he gave him 3 days, which he spared his life with (had no intent to kill )

A big part of me thinks that Gaara would actually win this. Another part of me thinks it's wishful thinking. But Gaara has shown himself to be mature and very skilled, not to mention tactical.
I think he has the edge on Sasuke. Even if Sasuke is stronger.

Okeedokee buddy. Here goes.

Susanoo is a very strong, very powerful technique. It has superb offensive and Defensive features. I personally think that while Susanoo is active, Sasuke is not really gonna get touched.
The big Issue(hehe) is that it cannot be sustained and If the opponent isn't dead before it wears off, the fight is over for the user.
Gaara is not gonna get taken into a brawl with Susanoo and he is gonna be aware of Sasuke's long range attacks if he uses Amaterasu. I think Gaara will do a good job of keeping out of trouble until Sasuke ruins himself.
Then, Gaara will go for him.
