Mindset: Gaara just witnessed Tendō Pain killing Temari. Like any other brother would be, Gaara is pissed. He wants to gouge Yahiko's (Tendō) brain from his skull and show it to Nagato as he crushes the living shit out of him with a sand coffin so that he too can know Pain.
Conditions: This is War Arc Gaara.
Conditional Restrictions: Chibaku Tensei. If you think it doesn't change much then unrestrict it.


Scenario two: Shukaku Jin Gaara under the same conditions.

] That is honestly about the only problem Gaara will encounter against Pain. Other than that, I can't really see how he loses.

Asura Paths is obviously blocked, given how much destructive power his sand took in. Not only this, but I assume he doesn't have to worry about his village. So he'll be more at ease fighting Pain. Animal Path and Preta Path isn't going to likely help either in this case.

Yeah... Pain med diff. Animal path unsummon the other paths and takes the bird to go flying. Deva Path levitates and uses Cho Shinra Tensei. Bye bye Gaara and Suna Village. Gingers before Redheads.

Remember that the location is a desert. Sand armor, a sand dome, and a giant sand shield similar to the one he used against C3 or the one he used against the meteor coupled along with the relatively soft terrain of the desert's surface could allow him to significantly soften the blow of CST. If he survives that there's no way Pain wins in my opinion, so he has to be careful with how he uses Shinra Tensei.

Yeah... But we can't forget that CST flattened an entre village. Even if Gaara survives, as he did against the meteor, He will be too deplected to do Any thing else, while Pain still fought and defeated SM Naruto. Never mind that Preta Path pretty much negates all and Any Sand that comes in contact with them by absorbing its chakra, renering it useless.

I think Gaara can win, given the setting. He's quite literally surrounded by his weapon, which keeps the Paths from being able to touch the ground for long without getting caught in an attack. Given that Gaara's bloodlusted, he isn't going to be holding anything back. The only thing he has to worry about is CT or ST, but since the ground around them is entirely sand, Gaara might be able to manipulate the sand gravitating towards him in CT to keep him from getting hurt? If he can survive that, everything else is pretty much dealt with by the sand around him. Animal Path's summons are demolished via Sand Burial, and the rest of the Paths probably couldn't get close enough to him to touch him (and even if they could, they aren't fast enough to get through his defense).

So, Gaara mid to high-diff.

OT: Pain wins S1 with no more than mid difficulty, if gaara is a perfect jin & assuming he can use a tbb in S2 then he wins, otherwise it won't help much.
