I'd say Gaara had a better chance if he surrounds himself in a thick sphere of sand close enough to him that would prevent Obito from becoming tangible to warp him.
I'd say this is only possible with intel since Gaara doesn't start his fights in a sphere while Obito goes straight for the warp.

can't obito jus kamui himself and appear right next to gaara in air?
and 5 minutes won't matter if tobi has land underneath his feet since he can go underground with mokuton that's why konan had to throw him in a hole.

If intel is full, Gaara is not losing, with the exception of possibly being outlasted.
Masked Man is still a young and rather inexperienced version of Obito. Gaara has every tool to fight him in a very similar (and better) fashion as Konan, which was given Obito some problems. Surrounding himself with sand drizzle, in addition to the automatic defense, is going to be an extremely tough task for Obito to maneuver around and find the opportunity to become tangible to touch and warp Gaara. Also, the bigger the object(s) the longer it'll take to warp it all, and Obito would have to be warping a fair amount of Gaara's sand as well. Not a chance. Torune touched Obito mid warp. Gaara will have an easier time landing a hit with his sand.

Not to mention how kamui attaches to ppl if it did attach to gaara couldn't he just detach his Sand armor let it be taken and recreate it similar to lee vs gaara lee muscles strained for like a second that was long enough for gaara to detach himself from the armor without no one noticing

Gaara suffers the same treatment Konan got.
Example- He warped in and out of Jinton within the flair
It was heavily implied that he could warp to sasuke and warp him while Danzo was in mid swing about 2inches from his neck.(
This is a good strategy but Konan tried the same thing with prep and while also being on a suicide mission and she still failed. Obito will find the slightest opening like he did here.(

). Once Obito starts warping the sand drizzle and Gaara's defense all gets pull inside. unlike konan he doesn't have any explosive so obito won't be taking any damage while doing this. Also Gaara's reaction doesn't suggest he'll react to kamui. If Gaara decides to stay airborn that won't help him either since Obito warping speed from point .A.-.B. was shown at ridiculous speeds or more than 1 time.Example- He warped in and out of Jinton within the flair

Again u realize he is only 15 right just saying ... Gaara around this age was a tactical prodigy....

I guess if gaara knew his opponent keep his distance. It could end up a stalemate. I feel like the fight would be like Konan vs Tobi. If gaara could continuously swarm him the Gaara could win i think.

Age doesn't change his warping speed it would only change his reaction speed and there's nothing in Gaara's arsenal fast enough to even catch teenage Obito who reacted to a Minato head strike.

with his insects during the process of being warped. So when Obito attempts to warp Gaara, the lot of sand will go with him. This will lengthen the process of Kamui's warp, and allow Gaara to counter with his sand. The best Obito can do here is cancel the warping, and go intangible. That's why I said his only chance is to outlast Gaara, which isn't even certain, because Gaara is also a chakra beast.

I agree with this. Obito tries to absorb Gaara and Gaara attacks him thereby ending the process. He loses to Gaara, all he can do is run about.
In no world is Obito warping Gaara here. As soon as Obito trues to warp and becomes tangible, Gaara's sand breaks his arm.
This is pretty close to a stalemate, since I don't see Gaara tagging Obito outside of that previous situation. Gaara has the edge from AOE attacks, one may eventually tag Obito and from there Obito will be handicapped enough to clean up.
