Sand vs. water

im going with kisame on this one U_U

gaara. Remember when gaara was facing madar along with oonoki, the sand being wet helped him throw madar out of susano'o. Or well i believe thats what they were talking about when they were excited that the sand was wet. But kisame has that jutsu where he makes a giant water bubble too so its hard.

Kisame is a great counter for gaara who only relies on long-range ninjutsu, and sand that will crumble when it comes in contact with liquid.

when gaaras sand wrap around kisame.. all he has to do is touch it with samehada, and the sand will all fall to the floor , gaara controls sand by putting his chakra in it, what does samehada do? suck chakram his sand = ordinary sand when samehada touches it

Technically speaking Gaara is on another level, but Kisame is the perfect counter. The only thing that secures this win for him is his water affinity, had it been anything else Gaara would crush him. But then again what the hell do I know, I'm not Kishi.

No, the sand was not wet when he was facing madara. Onnoki did not use water to make the sand lighter. He used one of his other jutsus ( cannot remember which one)
water in fact make the sand heavier. A ninja used that to beat garra in the first part of the series. Garra's sand became waterlogged and heavy , thus causing garra to lose his ability to control it.

You are wrong. Remember the terrain kisame fought with guy, lee and ten ten. That was a dessert like area, with no /little water. Yet, kisame flooded the entire area in a attempt to drown guy, at only 30 % of his strenghth.
Kisame can flood the dessert.
Once garra sand got flooded with water, his power is literally useless.

Just because gaara's sand can get wet doesn't mean a thing. He fought the Mizukage with wet sand And won. There's alot we dont know about gaara. And All we kno is that he uses Long range jutsu. But he is a kage and is experienced in/or has knowledge on Other ranges of battle. Just cause you havn't seen him in close range means nothing.
