In previous threads between thesw two,kisame has been stated to win because sand beats however the manga has finally stated otherwise,so ill like to bring out one final thread abt this. Gaara vs kisame in a beach,kisame has his sword ,current gaara,who wins.

Gaara wins because you took away Kisame's sword. Kisame is fast but he can't outrun an entire beach filled with sand.

Gaara can not only use the sand thats in the gourd and the beach, but the sand thats in the water as well
The recent chapters with Gaara vs Madara recent shown this too

If Kisame were to get off the sand onto the ocean he still would be targeted by the sand underocean

And the closer Kisame is to the shore the easier it is tho get the sand up quicker

Then theres also gold dust


This battle wouldnt be easy nonetheless

If this is the beach than Kisame also has a big access to water. I believe Kisame is slightly superior to Gaara because after all he took down Killer Bee. Also Kisame can absorb the chakra from Gaara's sand which would make it weaker. Gaara needs chakra to control his own sand but if Kisame deprives him of it then what can Gaara do? Kisame high difficulty.
