If it wasn't in a desert, Sasuke could win, But putting Gaara in a desert with Distance and intent to kill is almost like putting him in god tier. Hell, if he still had the Shukaku and could control it, he would be in god tier

amaterasu dosent just appear as an instant attack. Raikage clearly saw it coming before he dodged it,bee saw it coming when he tried to use a tentacle to block it,sasuke saw it when he tried to escape. It was clearly moving as a stream when itachi used it on sasuke. It moves fast,but not instant.

Pretty good argument but there is one flaw, kirin is faster than Gaaras sand, if deidara can escape the sand dome and kirin is almost instant after prep-time then his sand isnt helping him, but good points about the other counters

Thats how this technique works, its not coming out of an eye as a projectile. A dodged Amaterasu only becuase he was too fast, and he was able to fool Sharingan eyesight.
