Regardless of the "blitzing distance" the defense is nearly automatic. It will give him more than enough time (Gaara) to block Ay's attack and take flight, and bombard Ay with Sand Tsunami and put him in a position where Sand burial will end him.​

Raikage can jump very high and caught Naruto whilst he was air-born. Flying isn't going to immediately save Gaara from damage.

I think A takes this fight, if weightless Lee is enough to get through the sand I believe Ay and his insane speed AND lightning style attacks are more than enough.

What happened last time Gaara took on a fast lightning user?
