My original intention was to give Orochimaru some type of Fuuton using Edo. Asuma came to mind since he could infuse Kusanagi with Fuuton.

It was Sasori and Orochimaru then though, Then I changed it to Kakuzu so they would have Fuuton.

No, he can't. The 3rd Raikage is easily as fast as V1 Ay, Kakuzu has no sharingan precognition, he won't be able land a hit on him. His skin is as hard as the iron, and he has raiton shroud too. Kakuzu has no chance against him.

I believe Orochimaru can defeat Gaara, after all he defeated Gaara's father too. However he can't do shit against the 3rd Raikage.

If you don't allow Hiruzen or Minato, at least allow Edo Tsunade. With her strength team 2 might have a chance to somehow damage the 3rd Raikage ( though she is too slow to land a hit on him )

Third is overhyped but Oro without ET has shown a pretty limited arsenal .. and the third is also a bad matchup for DOMU not Kakuzu People act like without that he is weak ... Not just Domu. Kakuzu doesn't have anything which could physically harm the third. This is a cakewalk.

The 3rd can defeat either, with Gaara supporting him they definetly win this.
Team 2 Fuutons are too weak, they won't even scratch the 3rd or get through Gaara's sand.
We all know what happens to Kakuzu's Domu and threads: Hell Stab ftw.
Only chance would be kusanagi and maybe enhanced Katon (just to hurt, no mortally wound), but that would be very unlikely to happen since the 3rd is very quick and has top notch reflexes, plus, Gaara would assist him all the time.
