Only way i see Minato winning is if he's fast enough to avoid the sand like sasuke and lee did and take him down in close quarters combat. seeing as Minato was one of the fastest ninja alive i think its kind of a match like Obito's and Minato's. Whoever hits who first wins.

Gaara's fighting style counters hirashin super effectively because not only is gaara a flying ninja, he also has an automatic ultimate defense which counter any hirashin blit'z.

once gaara goes airborne the battle becomes one-sided because the effectiveness of hirashin becomes completely disabled and minato has no way to make any solid use of it while fighting an airborne opponent.

from the sky, gaara completely tkes control of the tide of the battle and has a number of options he can choose from to kill minato.....



but then again, minato's only hope of countering gaara's airborne mobiliy would be to use the food cart destroyer jutsu to summon bunta above gaara's head. this seems like a plausible and most possible way for minato to defeat gaara because as durable and as proficient gaara's sand defense is, i find it hard to believe that gaara will stand unharmed after having a 30,000 pound bull frog dive down upon you from the sky moving at 300k/cm.

if food cart destroyer does work, minato will have control of the battle and can end it in any way he wants.

Gaara's sand didn't really stop the meteor alone, Onoki had a lot to do with it, and I believe 5 Susanoo swords was enough to break through the sand. Gaara and Onoki together stopped Madara's magatamas, I don't know if Gaara himself can stop Itachi's version, if he does, he might needs to leave himself open for that.

I guess for Totsuka blade, it's gonna penetrate first to seal, so Gaara counters that pretty nice, but he still can't catch Itachi, who has Sharingan and Susanoo. Itachi the master of deceiving people can even make Gaara focus on a crow clone then attack from blind spots or where the defense is the weakest, if Itachi breaks the defense, it's over.

i didnt say it stopped it,after madara threw the second one at the first,it crashed into them,madara's susanoo as destroyed,whereas gaara wasnt hurt because of his sand.5 susanoos didnt break through,the force enacted by their swords and the sand smashing against eachother blew him back,remeber he wasnt even looking,and the sand shield that blocked it,was quite small. I am sure the force of 5 susanoo swords surpass itachi's magatamas.

Susanoo lowers the speed and mobility of the user, his susanoo has an underside,which gaara can take advantage of. His sharingan would allow him dodge from linear attacks,but he cant dodge massive or multiple attacks from all sides like this

Also dont forget his stamina levels?,which are very low,and wont allow him use his ms for long.

Gaara is also a master of clone feints as well,and has sand sensing which will tell him exactly how many itachi's are there,and he can make a sand clone for each one.

Thanks to his sand defence which is auto,he has no blindspot.

The sand reacted, but those susano'o still blasted gaara away and hurt him. you make it seem like he just blocked it and jumped back. they blew him away lmao.

he wasnt even looking,and the sand shield that blocked it was small,yea,he was blwn back,but that was it,the fall didnt even crack his sand armour,which would have absorbed the force of the blow,so eithe way,he wasnt hurt,and he got back up. If he was looking,and made a biggersand shield,he would have blocked it and jumped backXD.

Lmao. Because the 3rd eye isn't linked to the optic nerve which is directly linked to the brain. Genjutsu works by extending the users chakra to the target. Itachi entends his chakra through the 3rd eye. In any case this isn't an itachi vs gaara thread and the fact is you have no proof that the third eye counters genjutsu. All we've seen is that gaara used his eye to get an aerial view of the field to locate where his sand aggregated around the clam.
Next you'll tell me he blocks amaterasu by catching it, pulls itachi out of his susano'o and whatever other fantasy. because there wasn't a specific setup in the manga for any of those two cases to happen.

it dosent matter if it is connected,the eye is made out of sand:')4.,how does itachi put an eye of sand in genjutsu:leaf:. Using common sense in naruto is wrong:leaf: sasori has no brain,but sees,hears and has a 5 in intelligence:leaf:

what makes you so sure itachi will even see the eye?.muu a sensor that could sense an attack and dodge km naruto without even looking,didnt even know it was there,gaara can keep it anywhere,out of itachi's sight:leaf:

sand sensing also tells gaara where itachi is too,can itachi genjutsu that?:leaf:. And itachi not hiding makes it even easier to sense him while gaara is inside his sand dome:leaf:. His sensor sand will tell him when itachi is about to attack,as it did for him with muu,as well as detect any clones,allowing him to act accordingly.

Gaara literally gets genjutsu'd at the start of this fight unless he walks in with his eyes closed, encased INA dome of sand with 3rd eye out. Funny thing is that genjutsu isn't the only way gaara loses, its just what will happen to him. In any case I'm done. This really isn't itachi a vs gaara thread
