I'm not gonna go into an elaborate lecture thread. But I think Minato would lose against Gaara. Gaaras sand would prevent any kunai from getting to him.

Another thing is Gaara can fly. Minato has the advantage in summons, but I'm sure if he helped stop a meteor he could stop a summon. Or just sink it.

I think Gaara is above Minato in the "naruto ranks" list​

You do realize that Minato can easily place seals all over Gaara's sand without him noticing right?

Then there's also the fact that Minato could summon Gamabunta and have him use oil to completely dismantle Gaara's sand. It's already been shown that oil is Gaara's sands weakness and Bunta can produce plenty of that.

Minato could also summon Ma and Pa(signing a contract with the toads allows the user to summon any frog) and get them to use frog song, which would also put an end to Gaara. I could keep going, but you should get it by now.

Minato would defeat Gaara with mid difficulty IMO.

For the first one gaara's sand senses ppl exact ppl he were muu was several time why wouldn't he know if his sand has seals on them also gaara can tell witch of the hardest minerals would help his defense way deep in the ground again why wouldnt gaara know about the seals one more thing in order for minato to do seals he has to touch seals right well bad idea...not gonna elaborate on tht

2nd part Thts what makes ur argument good now for oil idk if gamabunta has enough oil to do tht te mizukage used oil personally and how would minato know to use oil????? Ur giving him information he doesn't have the only reason jariya used oil was to increase fire jutsu power and last I checked minato didn't have one lastly gaara can is always creating sand as long as the ground is earth or mineral based

I like Gaara a lot, and I'm not flaming, but you're wrong.

Minato would defeat Gaara. Minato base speed is faster than Rock Lee, and Lee was able to kick past Gaara's "ultimate defense". One touch and he's marked, then he's getting hit with super rasengan's. As a second piece of evidence, Minato > Naruto, Naruto beat Gaara.

I think what you meant to say is "I like Gaara more than Minato."

Saying Gaara would defeat Minato is borderline stupidity.

Gaara is extemely powerful. However Minato teleported ninetails so teleporting gaara's sand seems possible. Also gaara would need time to aquire a large amount of sand unless he was fighting in the desert. Minato rasengan(about the size of a bigball rasengan) could probably get through his defenses. Once he throws his marked blade gaara's sand would block and Minato would teleport to that location and rasengan past the defense and mark gaara. From this point he can get inside his defense. If it does not work the first time he could just simply teleport himself away and try again. Gaara's attack style depends on him pinning his oponent which is not possible in minato's case.

Minato is too fast for Gaara's sand, obviously he wouldn't try throwing a kunai at him cuz u can only throw a kunai so fast, but just think about it like when he used FTG v2 on tobi, same concept, pretend to go for a frontal attack, and teleport to a kunai behind him and tag Gaara with FTG formula and its a wrap, or a rasengan instead of tagging him but Gaara's sand armor might take most of the blow.

Gaara needs his kuni for his FTG, and his kuni wont allow him to get close enough to gaara to land a Rasengan.

I get that Gaara Is really strong now, and he has improved intellect and skill to his prior self. However Im pretty sure Minato even without his speed is more then a match for him.
Gaaras sand is rendered useless when Minato summons gama to spew oil everywhere. At that point sand is to weak to stop Minatos rasengan (if lets say it werent strong enough to already take down the sand defense as is.) You guys seem to also disregard the fact that in many battles, both sides take significant damage, so who is to say that after the first hit Minato does manage to make on Gaara, that he wont plant a seal?

Minato was also able to teleport the nine tails attack. So why wouldnt he be able to teleport a large amount of sand attacks as well?

As for Gaaras flying, I dont know how many of you have played Ninja storm two but, Kunai to the sky and warp anyone? if not that he could just throw one, warp to it and throw another to keep going higher in the sky. (as if Gamas legs arent enough to close the gap as is.)

Now regarding strategy and tactician moves, Im pretty sure Minato was a esteemed genius on the battlefield.

But lets put it on terms even the biggest of trolls cant argue against.

Tobi > Gaara but yet Minato > Tobi ? So in this equation we can rule out Gaara beating Minato.

The nine tails is one physical being, while sand is many seperate grains of sand.. Minao can not teleport all of it at once. And gaara doesnt need that much time to make large amounts of sand as seen here:

It doesnt take gaara long at all to use large sand techniques. The entire video porves this. And gaara is pretty smart as well he would let minato try the same move twice.

Minato using FTG is faster than lee w/gates. But base speed minato is not, he is only as fast as lee with no ankle weights.

Could you explain how Minato is getting a kunai behind gaara.. Gaara's sand is reflecting everything that comes gaara's way.. as long as minato is throwing projectiles he isnt gonna be able to get close to gaara.. Especially not current gaara.

Minato is not just fast because of FTG. Minato's normal speed is very fast as well. If he's as fast as Lee, which I believe he is, Minato would destroy Gaara with normal speed an taijutsu. Remember the Gaara-Lee and Gaara-Sasuke fights, Gaara looses to speed. Gaara has no chance against Minato.

Minato should be able to beat Gaara with mid to low dificulty.
