I think garras sand would slow minato down but with summons and the flying thunder god technique he woul beat garra but i understand where your coming from nice thread

Anybody who doesn't go by hype and names would agree with you, but unfortunately many people here don't. Although I will say that I think Minato is better overall, Gaara is a bad match-up for the Flash.

This guy makes so many wars god. Minato is the fastest ninja but now Naruto surpassed him in speed. Minato would outsmart Gaara. Minato would like throw a kunai as a distraction and get another and throw it behind Gaara and Gaara would grab it with him sand but at time Minato would grab the one gaara first grabbed and kill Gaara.

Minato would defeat Gaara. Minato base speed is faster than Rock Lee, and Lee was able to kick past Gaara's "ultimate defense". One touch and he's marked, then he's getting hit with super rasengan's. As a second piece of evidence, Minato > Naruto, Naruto beat Gaara.

I think what you meant to say is "I like Gaara more than Minato."

Saying Gaara would defeat Minato is borderline stupidity.

I'm not gonna go into an elaborate lecture thread. But I think Minato would lose against Gaara. Gaaras sand would prevent any kunai from getting to him.

Another thing is Gaara can fly. Minato has the advantage in summons, but I'm sure if he helped stop a meteor he could stop a summon. Or just sink it.

Whilst I understand your reasoning, I still don't think Gaara can beat Minato and I'll explain why:

Yes, Gaara's sand can probably stop the kunai knives, but Base Minato is also pretty damn fast. Look here:

Minato didn't use FTG here - he simply caught Naruto through pure base speed alone and that was fast enough for Tobi to give him praise.

Minato doesn't need to throw kunai knives, he just has to move fast and he then tags Gaara. Sasuke and Lee were fast enough to dodge Gaara's sand. Yes, Gaara can probably handle faster speeds now, but Minato's base speed is also faster than Lee and Sasuke's. Therefore, Minato tags Gaara through base speed and then it's over for him.

Minato's base speed is probally faster than rock lee (w/ankle weights on).. but the rock lee you are talking about who broke through gaara's defense was a 4th gate rock lee. And minato is not as fast as a 4th gate rock lee.

What people don't understand is that it doesn't matter how fast you are if you can't take to the skies. Lee was lucky as hell that fight wasn't out in an open field. Unless you have a really strong long range attack like Guys Daytime Tiger it's virtually pointless.

I already know that and that's why I said that he is too fast for gaara. With minato's intelligence and speed he would be able to find a quick way to kill gaara, gaara is cool and all but he cannot defeat minato. IMO.

You're gonna need something a lot stronger than water bullets IMO. If anything I see Minato using Gamabunta to help close the gap. Either way Gaara still has the advantage.
