For people who think gaara sand is effectef by water it isn't it states in his bio that he can still munipulate sand even when satgurated (soaked) by water
the only reason he had a hard time against past mizukage is because of the oil it breaks and seperates the sands particles there fore making it slower and less durible

water doesn't do anything to it if he can crush people (who are 70% water/blood) what is suiton jutsu gonna do nothing blood is thciker and heavier then water and his guard sand is full of blood and chakra
that's why when kiba smelled it he couldn't bear to smell it because it had so much blood in it (back in chunin exams)

mei can not touch gaara she is short to mid range fighter (as we know for now) gaara is all range (usually long range) she doesn't have speed feats to bypass gaara sand (have to be as fast as a or bee or sasuke) let alone be able to dodge his attacks witch come from all direction gaara wins

Okay. I will say this one more time so read slowly if you must. Movies are not canon. Meaning the movies aren't used to provide facts. If you read my comment you can see what Gaara is capable of and how using his levitation when trying to create more sand would make it so he uses more chakra. That's all I was pointing out. He cannot fly. Without sand, just using chakra only the tsuchikage has been able to that we have seen. Trying to argue that he can is pointless.

I am sorry I had to use the word noob. I hate the term, it was a word made up by the biggest nerds in the world to make others feel dumb. Wait isnt it sand>water sense It can absorb the water? And if mei does make the sand heavier wouldnt that be bad for mei since that would allow gaara to use less sand to cause the same impact
