........we are yet to be reveiled about mei's abilities......gaara's strength lies only in sand..he cannot fight in glaciers,water bodies,rough terrian(the ones without sand)...these weak nesses brings gaara's score down....n so why should one depend on sandy terrian??....one is assuming that there is always unlimited sand :/ but actually only those places are advantageous then!!

Gaara can create more amount of sand! He can change the terrain into dessert. Review his fight with Kimamaro
Gaara's sand is too fast for mei. You need speed to keep up with his sand. I don't think Mei can hit Gaara or Gaara's sand with just spitting. Mei hasn't shown defense technique.

Nobody really needs to worry about Gaara's chakra esp if he's just against Mei. The water will only "slowdown" the sand's movement by a scale that barely matters so Suiton is out of the question. And yes, Gaara still has a lot of chakra. If you've been reading the fight of Gaara vs the old kages then that should be enough to tell anyone that Gaara's chakra is still something to be feared.

M point about the water is not that it would slow it down (as was discussed in Gaara vs Pein), its that it takes chakra, which regardless of whether or not someone has a lot of it, is not unending. Also, to the people who say Gaara can fly, He can't, or at least not in the capacity you are trying to pull off. He uses the sand to stand on in the air. Again, this takes Chakra and the farther he is from the ground, the more chakra he uses to manipulate the sand he creates from the ground which again is more chakra. people keep saying, "oh he can make an unlimited amount of sand from the ground and he can fly and and and and..." all of these things take chakra and the more sand there is the more chakra it takes.

You are correct, we do know he still has a lot. But my point was, there is not a lot of focus on the fight currently and we don't know how he is doing now... If he is doing fine, ie not winded or out of chakra, he can take her, if not she has a fair chance at taking him.

Ummm in the naruto shippuden movie I think it's called inhierters of the will of fire or something like tht gaara literally flys through out entire fight (well he's not really fighting just trying to stop naruto from getting to kakashi) my point is he can really fly

As for Mei overwhelming gaara's sand Thts not happening even the amount of guard sand go back to the kage summit wit sasuke it look like he was carrying a desert already ( when he saved sasuke from raikage) and the amount he created as a kid was Insane now his creation of sand is compared to a fully transformed skikau it's that power ful Mei has no speed feats or defense feats u and other ppl say she can use earth walls to repel gaara sand Thts not right either seeing as gaara can attack u from all directions it's not like mei's lava where she just spits it out and hav no control of it gaara can control it to go around it underground or even break through it gaara can just literally do what he did to Kimmi I doubt she's faster then him .

garra doesnt fly like onooki, he is held up by sand or stands on sand, onooki uses a particle lightening technique to make ppl light enought to fly... mei is a kage, and will at least have jonin type speed, and before the series is out i hope we get to see her take off on someone with full force, because i like to see everyones faces who thinks she is weak as hell...

Please enlighten me what is joinin type speed
She hasn't shown any speed feats stop giving her something she doesn't have and u need to be as fast as sasuke or A to avoid gaara's sand let alone the amount of it

Also for the ppl who say she can use those earth jutsus once again she doesn't have these attacks Dnt give them to her just because she has an earth affanity
If Thts the case then I'd give gaara a fan and rasengan because he has wind affanity
