Gaara is the most unique character?

After watching episode 261 (even though i read the same thing in the manga months ago), i have gained a lot more respect for Gaara who seems to me has made the biggest turn around in the series and seems to have done everything naruto has wanted to accomplish on a larger scale. I still have to admit without naruto he would not have changed, but naruto needed people there for him to change as well. Gaara should be more respected in the series than naruto though for the following reasons

1. As explained in part 1, gaara wasnt able to make friends like naruto had and lived a much worse life

2. Saved the life of one he wanted to kill, Rock lee during the retrieval arc

3. Became kage at a very young age

4. Assumed the position as protector of the sand even though the village was still skeptical of him

5. only character to be both to lose jinchuriki and live, but still was strong enough to protect the village

6. Becomes Commander in chief in the war, and has the ability to inspire thousands even though the all had differences

do you agree or disagree that Gaara has proven to be a better character as a whole than naruto. Still love naruto who has inspired me in real life, but yeah. let me know what you guys think

also as a whole yes i would agree that he is better as a WHOLE then naruto....when they faught,naruto was lecturing him,garra became kage first,and then came back to lecture naruto about friendship when they were talking about sasuke,plus he is younger...yup garra is a boss

Gaara is one of my favorite characters, but Naruto is the better character.

that argument is invalid. Speaking tthat he never even used the tailed best in shippuden

the gaara in naruto part one between episode 30 to 80 have a kill and blood lust

and gaara in shippuden how wants to bring peace as naruto wants to get it too....

2.Naruto didnt have the killing intent that gaara had... gaara wanted to kill everyone and was crazy
3. the sand dont have the strongest military but they have quality over quantity
5. Im saying he stilled had the chakra boost from it, and he was still strong without the tailed beast unlike naruto who lately has been relying on its power
6. Gaara dissed all of the kages at the same time in their face... Tsunade has no roll, he has the second biggest role out of the five
