Tsunade can kill Gayaara with relative ease.
He isn't killing Tsunade with puny sand attacks and sand sealing because her body when Byakugo is active will automatically regenerate any inflicted damage and her unparalleled strength takes care of the sand if it buries her. If he decides to take flight, Tsunade just shunshins his ass and take his head off with a punch.
Tsunade punching power > 3rd and 4th Raikage combined.
It'll decapitate Gaara's head and in addition sand guard gets penetrated with chakra super punch.
Tsunade is a bad match up for Garaa.
Even if Tsunade just stands there motionless, she'll still win because Gaara will run out of chakra and Tsunade won't because she is a Senju and Senju's are known for their bijuu level chakras

what is Tsunade gonne do?
jumping gaara? when he fly's up? his sand can react faster then amaterasu is fired up so Tsunade gets blocked then this happens to her.

Tsuande with Katsuyu has the height advantage, and she can jump really high (like Sakura) whilst creating vortexes due to her strength/ come again.
Who has better Attacking Techs?
Tsunades attack are a instant kill. Gaara may be more versatile, but Tsunade can counter his sand by liquefying Katsuyu really.
Who knows more sealing jutsus ?
Tsunade. Gaara used a sealing tag, no the jutsu, Tobirama uses paper bomb, does that make him an explosion release user or a fire release.

KAtsuyu can cover the whole ground, and she can use her to immobilize Gaara's sand.
She cant hit Gaara if he is on the air , cuz she has no Large distance Jutsu ,(she even cant get close to him )
She can jump and create vortexes.
how can she react if gaara uses a Sealing Jutsu on her ?
How will Gaara contain her, she will simply jump out, sealing isn't instant, and he needs to immobilized the victim, Tsunade is just tooo strong.
There is no use of her 100 healing jutsu if she gets by a sealing Jutsu

Gaara wins this battle because of the overwhelming amount of Sand he can control at once. This isn't a fight that Tsuande can win due to the incredible disadvantage she's at.
Gaara is capable of:

ill give it to you her healing might be a better defense than sand shield....but it cuts her life span and she has been using it out the ass hole so in the end tsunade is gonna end up killing herself

tsunade is strong enough to break out of sand if he tries something like he did with the clam-kage and builds up the sand...but she isnt quick enough to dodge sand if he just tries to grab and crush a bone here or there
and ill will tell you what gaara is compared to tsunade.....he is 16....shes in her 50's......16 and he is already stronger than her...
