Every word of this is speculation. Susanoo doesn't just come out on its own, it has to be called out by Sasuke. Also Muu doesn't have to appear right behind Sasuke he can appear behind him but at a greater distance so Sasuke can't sense his presence and then jinton gameover.

The only reason Gaara pulled Madara out of susanoo was because there was already sand underneath his feet. If there's no sand there then that trick doesn't work. Also it doesn't matter what level genjutsu it is Gaara still hasn't shown any feats to show he's resistant to genjutsu.

but gaara can create sand from rocks and mineral under the earth, so he can essentially change the entire landscape, like he did with kimmimaro
