Gaara and Mei vs Itachi

I'm not a guy to stand up for itachi but what genjutsu resistance has both gaara and mei shown in this manga? Plus they don't know about finger gen and dusk crow. How do they bypass the best genjutsu users genjutsu? Am I missing something?

Garra obviously has distance advantage and i believe Mei has the ability to use mist (unless I'm confusing her with someone else).

Slap yourself if you think if Gaara can solo Itachi..in 1v1 fight...Gaara would die from Amaterasu before he can even reach to Amaterasu......but Gaara and Mei takes....but in no way in hell is Gaara soloing Itachi....

OT: I wont lie with mei's jutsu and arsenal are a good counter to Itachi as seeing her lava and boil release can melt sussano and do worse damage.

Gaara does not solo itachi .. people who think that make me laugh .. lol ..He countered one enton and people think he is the absolute counter to amertarasu..

why even need to use amaterasu? if gaara use his ultimate defence he also use third eye which is linked to his optical nerve, in pure taijutsu battle gaara would be quite a challenge, but genjutsu card very much exist,

i dont say itachi win this but it is not impossible

Fair point but even if they have the distance advantage but as they have knowledge of itach, itachi has some knowledge on them since they are kage. Dusk crow doesn't require eye contact and we have seen that itachi is agile enough to both block and dodge sand attacks. Gaara doesn't have the ability to drag itachi out of susano'o this time (if he does, he would have to catch him off gaurd). Also,even if they alread y know about his gen it will be tricky to overcome. Agreed that they win though.

As i said once, I'll say it again Garra is Itachi's worse match-up in the series, besides obviously OP shinobi.

Garra's ability attack and defend simultaneously would critical in this match-up. Itachi's low stamina in trying toavoid sand and land a hit would be a challenge.

Genjutsu is obviously tricky, but Garra's distance has the ability to grant him the opportunity to avoid/ counter this without a problem. Genjutsu has never been shown as a long distance attack, so there is no way in proving otherwise.

Sending crows they get stomped easily, As garra would see them approaching

Overall i think Itachi is a bit stronger of course, but Garra has his advantages

Deidara is 50/50, since their last encounter Deidara had intel and Garra had ro rescue the Village
Itachi is 50/50, he can avoid/counter most (if not all) of his techniques
Sasori i give the edge to Garra
Kakuzu 50/50, only because of possible use of ration release.

Deidara was unprepared and didnt use his strongest attacks c2,c4, and c0, had a small amount of clay while they fought in a desert and Gaara was able to take flight. All this speaks against Deidara and he still won with almost no injuries ( his crushed arm he used to beat Gaara, so that was most likely intended).

So he can sense the build up and do what? after it builds up he can use it whenever he wants ..

when he senses the buildup,he just goes into a sand dome if he hasnt already and continues,and this isnt edo itachi,using his ms really weakens him.

Sasori had an inside source inbthe village, Deidara was aware of Garra. Deidara decided not to take enough clay after Sasori advised him to. Almost no injuries? Deidara lost an arm! garra caught it with sand and used sand coffin. Garra used all his chakra to save the village against C4, but this also provided a distraction. Both were at disadvantages, more so Garra IMO

Since when could Gaara sense chakra anyway? He can sense via Sand, which is a physical kind of sensing.

No he bleeds right when amertarasu is used .. so if he is looking for bleeding it would be too late ..

Deidara didnt exactly know how Gaara can use his sand and how strong the sand is etc. Deidara analysed that during the fight. Deidara lost his arm because he used the clay of this Hand to create an opening in Gaaras defence, if Deidara would have been prepared and would have been able to use c2 or something this wouldnt be necessary. Plus in a desert its much easier for Gaara to make sand. Gaara also saved the village against c3 not c4

Hold up, I'll look again. I could have sworn his eye bleeds prior to using it.
