Gaara can fly, but not that fast, and further more depending on the enviroment, such as trees being around or, being indoors, A may be able to catch him in the air, and Gaara cannot survive one of those lightning chops that broke madara's Susanoo, his shield is weak against lightning, and I'm pretty sure that his lightning chop does more damage than Pre timeskip Sasuke's chidori.

I say A will win unless Gaara knows he's coming in advance, but even so, A can easily avoid anything gaara can throw at him, the man dodged Amaterasu and a point blank blast from Jugo, he blitzes Gaara 1 good time and the fight is over

I'm not trying to get at u but ur the last person I seen say the expirence thing A is older then gaara he will for ever always have more expirence the gaara by ur (and other ppl who voted cuz of expirence) so there for by ur logic A will always beat gaara personally I Dnt see how A could beat Gaara unless the battle starts and A is right next to him ...

Hmmm I should have been more clear, what I meant was A only wins this time round because of the experience he has over Gaara right now. But in a few years I do think gaara will be able to beat him. He displayed great intelligence against the mizukage (I think or was it the tsuchikage) in the war and as time goes he will only become more intelligent.

A doesn't seem to have the patience lol and Gaara has a very calm demeanor about him which you do need in a battle otherwise you may make some rash choices.

But Gaara does have gold dust now, which is much more dense than his normal sand. If he managed to beat his father who was using gold dust with his normal sand and NOW HAS gold dust doesn't that significantly increase his defence?

Movies aren't cannon, and I've seen these ninja jump really high, A can possibly jump even higher, due to him being so fast and all, but Gaara's flight isn't really good at avoiding ppl, Kimimaru almost killed him whilst he was airborne, so I wouldn't consider Gaara's flight a big advantage in this situation, because depending on the area, A can snatch him out the sky easily, 1 good lariat and the fight is over

I want to point out lee didn't even hurt or hit gaara directly he hit his sand shield and unless I'm mistaken gaara sand was able to make clone right b4 lee hit him with final blow
*Gaara's sand was able to stay right behind lee also tht was just genin gaara sand speed
My point is when gaara was tossed down words and lee caught him by white cloth thing tht was more then enough time for gaara to re construct sand shield it's not like he needed hand seals he just needed to have sand near him witch he did

Because lee never made gaara draw blood gaara sand shield is heavy as hell when it was cracked he needed to repare it after it he was fine got up and everything or did everyone forget tht lee on the other hand was drained with two broken limbs ppl saying gaara should hav lost but in all actuality lee should hav died if not for guy sensi

Even if u Dnt count the movie (witch is stupid why would they show him doing it if can't in anime) gaara in the war was able to invade an instant mokoton (instant pollen Forrest) by levitating on his sand and was able to not only save himself but the other kages (aside from onooki) witch includes A as well who was helpless in situation my point is gaara reaction speed to attacks have greatly increased and tht he's been shown to evade instant attacks Not exactly sure if he could evade A but he does have good chance too

Why couldn't it be the case with A. People are funny, they overrate Gaara a lot and underrate the Raikage. Let's not forget that lightning beats earth. Gaara is powerful but the Raikage would win this battle.

1.Sasuke and A didn't know that Gaara was there.
