Similar threads have been made, but what can luffy do to reach Gear 5? I mean what else could he possibly inflate or imbue with haki? The show is barely halfway over so there has to be something.

G4 is the stupidest thing ever.

I miss Second Gear... it's so simple yet amazing and was the Golden Age of One Piece to me.

Lately it's been trash in my opinion...well no trash, but just meh and don't come my way with your shet either idc *****

If they do make a G5 it better be regular sized luffy and not some even bigger balloon of a fool version.

There is no Gear 5th. Gear 2nd is basically depending on the blood stream system. Gear 3rd uses bones. Gear 4th uses muscles. You need a system of a human body to weaponize it and there is non.

I kmnow that genius i was sayimng what could gear 5th possibly be because it doesnt seem to me that he can manipulate his body any more than he has to this point

Yeah that was my dillema, but who k ows perhaps he could find a way to g3 style inflate his whole body and sustain it with busoshoku kouka . that's ugh that would be kinda lame.

Maybe nervous system with Observation Haki? He speeds up his reactions and his body stretches and contorts to dodge attacks almost making the rubber his body is made of look like its "alive". So he uses observation haki to know where an attack will come and his rubber body will move out of the way immediately without luffy having to really even think it. Kind of a big stretch (no pun intended) but eh it's an idea :elmo:

The only power up I can see now is Conquerors haki, Maybe they will dive into the possibilities of that type of haki finally. It's not possile that the rarest form of haki is also the least useful one.

CoC is more than a anti fodder tool, has to be. Shanks pressure was enough to break a ship while he was just relaxed. So maybe a trained user can weaponize that pressure.

You said it. Lame. I haven't seen Luffy until now uses all three gears at once. Perhaps something better comes from activating three gears rather than using just Gear4th.

I imagine Usopp modify breath dial or Jet dial (a strong version of breath dial) to fit Luffy's usage for G3 and G4 since they use air. The more air, the more power.

Lympathic and Immune System seems to have been covered passively i.e enhanced poison immunity. However, aspects of digestive are passive but G4 Tankman seems to build on them same could happen for lymph/immunity. Oda could go Toriko and have Luffy's awakening could go bonkers and give him absolute immunity on concepts. We also have Integumentary system. Red Hawk can be credited to this but it relies on Haki. Were Luffy to create a mode that hardens his rubber akin to tekkai he'd store his reserves of BH or use it to increase DC. Nervous System is the big one. KHR comes to mind. Remember those dying will bullets made Reborn quit being a certified ***** and momentarily make him smart. Toriko universe showed how heightened nerves can make one into a beast via enhancement of the five senses. Lastly, Oda loves his DB/DBZ. We can have a full on Great Ape mode. Luffy could have a mode where he sustains G3 throughout his body and inc operates other Gears to fortify it. Imagine that an Oars sized Luffy with enough muscle mass as a compacted G4 punching as fast as G2 (making use of law of relativity) nas.jpeg
