Naruto has the element of wind, Sasuke has lightning.

These are symbolism from the japanese gods of Wind and Lightining, Fuijin and Raijin.

Sasuke has ocular jutsu, which have the appearance of tomoe

Raijin beats his drums to create thunder/lightning, which carry that appearance.

These gods appear on gates throughout the land in mythology, something that alludes to the villages and their own gates in Naruto.

Tidbit: Namikaze means "waves and wind". Possible hint to Naruto's second element. and the Uzumaki clan symbol is a whirlpool, something the wind god would bring up on his enemies.

TB#2: Adults would tell children to cover their belly buttons, becuase Raijin would eat them. Naruto's seal for Kurama is on his belly button, and the Uchiha can control Kurama with their sharingan tomoe

True, Kishi left that out due to BM and Kurama. People need to go deep into japanese mythology and symbolism, there is a lot in DBZ too.
