Well lets see, Wind Release is one of the five basic elemental transformations. Wind Release is created by making ones chakra sharp and thin. Fuuton Techniques are generally offensive and medium to long range, which means that the user doesn't have to get close to the opponent in order to deal powerful blows. However, wind can range from anywhere between short to long range and has techniques that are both defensive and supplementary, it is just that it is mainly offensive. I believe that wind can also be used to change one's direction while in mid air.
Wind can be used in many ways, including but not limited to creating wind bullets, blades, tornadoes, using it to blow away opponents weapons and tools, obstructing opponents vision by raising dust/sand as well as increasing speed or blowing away thunder clouds ( needed for Kirin)

He then concentrates on the air around him. He feels a slight breeze so he memorizes how it feels, the way it moves against his body.
Then he inhales as much of it as he can inside his lungs. He concentrates on how it feels, how the molecules of air are moving around inside of his lungs. He exhales.
Feeling that he is finally ready to try it out, Asuma inhales and remembers how the air around him felt, and he attempts to create that same feeling while molding chakra inside of his body, as it begins to feel like the slight breeze he felt earlier, he focuses that chakra in his lungs, and exhales towards his Sensei. He notices that Peins clothes and hair began to move slightly.

Having memorized how to mold his chakra in order to transform it into wind chakra, Asuma repeats it, only this time focusing that chakra into his hands, then releasing it with a swipe. He notices that the Wind he has released is much stronger than it was first time.

That's better. Now i want you to release fuuton chakra into the air and convert it into a weak gust of wind. It's only effective offensively when blowing dust or sand into your opponent's eyes. Try it out.

Asuma concentrates and begins to mold his chakra. As the chakra takes on the Wind form, he releases it towards the ground, raising the sand and creating a cloud moving towards the Pein standing nearby.
Some sand got into Pein's eyes, but Asuma noticed that he didn't even blink.
"They sure don't talk a lot, do they ?"
Asuma concentrates and begins to mold his chakra. As the chakra takes on the Wind form, he releases it towards the ground, raising the sand and creating a cloud moving towards the Pein standing nearby.
Some sand got into Pein's eyes, but Asuma noticed that he didn't even blink.
Good job. Let's see if you're ready for sets of three. For this jutsu release fuuton chakra in front of you and produce wind in the form of a spinning wall with minor sharpness. It should be strong enough to repel shuriken and taijutsu alike. Now defend yourself.

Next, jump up and simply blow a steady stream of wind from your mouth to propel yourself quickly in the opposite direction you're facing. Try it out and i hope you don't mind a little incentive. :heh:

Seeing Pein moving towards him, Asuma immediately reacts by starting to mold his chakra. As it begins to take on the Wind form, he channels all of chakra into his hands. Extending his arms towards Pein that is moving towards him, Asuma releases the technique, forming a protective barrier in between him and Pein, one made of wind, spinning violently and sharply.
As Pein's right foot comes into contact with the wall, small cuts begin to appear on his sandals. He keeps on moving for a few more centimeters, before coming to a full stop.
Asuma smiles lightly, "I guess it really works"
Complying with the instructions of his Sensei, Asuma immediately jumps. Naturally checking bellow him, he notices a bed of Spikes arising on the ground.
He smirks and says, "Are you trying to scare me? "
He inhales and starts to mold chakra inside his body. As it begins to transform into Wind, he focuses all of it in his lungs. His lungs begin to expand as the large quantity of Wind increases the pressure inside them.
Then, he exhales, releasing the large quantity of wind towards North. As he does that, the sheer force of wind current moving in opposite direction, propels him towards the south, out of harms way.
He lands on his feet gracefully, and inhales before facing his sensei, "Because it isn't working"
"This technique seems more powerful, from what you said, Sensei"
Asuma gathers a large quantity of Chakra, more than he had ever gathered so far.
As more and more chakra is transformed into the wind form, he channels it to both his lungs and his arms. His lungs expand and his fingers begin to throb. Then he releases the wind stream by exhaling and extending his arms towards the group of peins.
He controls the wind stream released from his mouth and has it lift the group of 3 pains in air, approximately 5 feet.
He controls the wind stream released from his mouth and has it lift the 3 rocks, each half his size, 5 feet in the air, and then once they are approximately at a height of 5 feet, he combines the both streams in order to push rocks towards the 3 peins at great speed.
Each rock strikes its own Pein forcefully.
"I hope I didn't hurt them too much" Asuma says, feeling as if though he used too much force

"I am really starting to like Fuuton" Asuma says smiling.
Asuma looks towards three pains trapped inside the circle of fire.
He forms the Ram hand seal and releases a gust of wind which begins to take a form of three small tornadoes, each heading towards their own Pein. As the tornadoes come into the contact with fire, they light on fire, creating a fiery tornado, moving at great speeds whose heat even Asuma could feel. As they come into the contact with Peins, the Peins disapear in a vortex of fire.
"This sure seems like it could hurt someone... Badly " Asuma comments
As another Pein begins to rush towards him with blades, Asuma performs Tiger → Snake → Ram hand seals and releases a vortex of violent wind towards him, while pushing Asuma back a few centimeters due to recoil.
As the Vortex comes into the contact with Pein, the Pein is thrown backwards in the air by the forceful impact of the Jutsu.
"Take that..."

Seeing the Pein perform Ox → Dog → Rabbit → Snake seals , Asuma readies himself for whatever is about to come.
As the Pein releases a sudden gust of wind, Asuma quickly counters by molding his chakra into it's wind form, and releasing a slicing gust of wind with a wave of his hand.
As two techniques come into contact, the gust of wind released by Asuma slices through Pein's Jutsu, splitting it, and effectively making it harmless.
"I like this Jutsu" Asuma smirks
"Not like you're gonna find any money in there!" Asuma sweat drops.
He continues by performing Tiger → Hare → Dragon hand seals, creating a slicing cyclone of wind, completely under his control.
The points his hands upwards at an angle towards Pein and the cyclone follows. As it closes in on Pein, Asuma points downwards, and cyclone follows, swallowing the Pein from his back, at a 45 degree angle.
*Unexpectedly, Asuma's wallet comes flying back at him*
Quick Question, can this Jutsu be used to go around a barrier such as Earth Wall ?
As in it curving around it, then hitting the opponent ?
Noticing the Pein running towards him with a sharp blade, Asuma thinks to himself, "I should return the favour"
He gathers chakra in his core, and begins to mold so that it would transform into it's wind form. As he gathers large amounts of it in his hands, he begins to run towards the Pein.
As they get closer to each other, to somewhere between mid and short range, Asuma waves his hands and releases two slashes of wind, one with each hand, travelling towards the Pein in an X shape. They come in contact with the Pein and slash through his blade, breaking it.
(Not sure if it's powerful enough to do that, if not, let's say it just cut it's cloak)

How is a Kunai with Wind infused any different from a regular Kunai, RP wise ?
Asuma takes out a sword that was on his back, and moves his right hand towards the right, letting the sword face towards the left, protecting his torso.
He begins to infuse his wind chakra into it, making it as sharp and as thin as possible, while concentrating on the bomb that is heading his way. Once the bomb is midway through Mid range, asuma quickly pulls his right hand upwards and diagonally to the right, changes the direction of the tip of the sword to the right, and then quickly slices downwards, diagonally towards the left.
As the handle of the sword covers the bomb from his point of view, Asuma releases the wind from the sword, letting it slash towards the bomb, cutting it in two pieces on contact, and then proceeding to move some more, before it finally fades before reaching long range.
"But he looks like he is enjoying the view..." Asuma smiles slightly
He takes the Fan that Pein gave him and plays with it a bit, judging its weight and speed at which it moves.
As he gets the hang of it, he begins to channel his chakra into it, and then swings it. As he swings the fan, he releases his chakra which creates a very sharp disk of wind in a vertical position, moving forwards at great speed.
The disk moves towards the branch on which Pein is sitting at, and as it comes into contact with it, it slices through it with ease.
The Pein, along with the branch, falls down, face first.
"Find someone to try it on"
Hearing these words, Asuma smirks and looks towards his Sensei, who was standing in short range to Asuma.

As he concentrates more and more of chakra in his lungs, the pressure increases, and his lungs expand.
Then, he releases the chakra in a form of a powerful stream moving straight at the Four Pein's heading his way.
As it comes into contact with them, they are thrown backwards from it's sheer force, losing their footing, and becoming airborne
As the Kunai begin to move towards him at great speed, Asuma quickly infuses his chakra into the sword he is holding in his right arm.
He waits until the last possible moment, gathering as much chakra as possible, then, without even having to move his sword, he releases the chakra from his sword in a sudden burst, creating a vertex of wind around Asuma, just moments before Kunai would hit him.
As the Kunai comes into contact with the Vortex, it is effortlessly deflected.

Can this Jutsu be used to repel things such as Bugs and Sand when they are already in contact with your body, or only when they are close but not actually touching you ?

Asuma proceeds by concentrating his Chakra in his lungs, while simultaneously molding it into it's Wind form. As he does it, he emphasizes on making it as concentrated, and as sharp as possible.
He then exhales towards the Windmill shuriken, coating it in Sharp and Concentrated Wind Chakra, and by doing so, increases it's range greatly.
Asuma proceeds by throwing the said Windmill shuriken in between the two Peins charging at him.
The shuriken itself barely passes in between the two, however, the wind chakra around it inflicts some serious damage, creating deep gashes on the sides of both Pein's torsos.
"This will prove to be a really useful Jutsu" Asuma smiles at his Sensei.
