As we read the manga, they translate it to windcutting jutsu. But, don't you think it is a combination of wind and mist jutsu. Because kaze means wind and kiri means mist or fog. What do you think?

May be but I think it only have wind element

Ok, but we can see the kirigakure ninja did do the kirigakure no jutsu. The battlefield become foggy. I think naruto and other fuuton ninja will do something with the fog. Its like a combination jutsu.

Then explain me "Raikiri". Where is the mist involved in it?
Don't consider the words separately. Because their combined meaning is different.
