Let me think..

Fuuinjutsu, or Fūinjutsu are sealing techniques. Obviously, the techniques are thus used for sealing things, chakra, object and even living creatures like summonings or people. You can even seal things in other things, like weapons in scrolls and such. To unseal them again, like again to get the weapon or to 'summon' it as some say, one needs fuuinjutsu as well. The most interesting form of fuuinjutsu is for me the medical fuuinjutsu form, which is my aim to learn eventually.
A couple of different forms of seals are the Five Elements Seal which Orochimaru used, the seal that is used on Naruto to seal the ninetails, but also Sasuke's cursed seal is a form of forbidden fuuinjutsu.

I hope that was good enough @_@

Well, that one I find more difficult :p
At the best of my knowledge it differs from ordinary ninjutsu because the chakra is not coming directly from the user's body, in terms of that it comes from the seal when it is active.
What happens is that the user will send his chakra into the seal, but the chakra is not like the fuel for the jutsu, the seal is. The jutsu will go on as long as the seal dictates, much like a computer program o:

Well, there are 6 parts to a seal and how it works: The object, the medium, the trigger, the binding, chakra and, for some seals, the "key".

The object is whatever you're going to seal to put it simple. And in this its crucial to understand the latus sense of what it means to seal something. You are able to seal not only a physical object but also energy or even metaphysical events such as souls. The list of things sealable is very large, even within the confines of the canon techniques and even greater amongst the Custom techniques.

The medium is what's going to hold the object sealed.

The trigger is what starts the sealing technique. It can be anything from trying to speak of a secret to simple handseals or chakra, or even mental alerts.

The binding can be handseals, kanji formulas, etc. Its basically what will wrap, manipulate and contain the object into the vessel but also what alters the vessel to allow it to serve as a medium for the target of the seal. Its the most complex part

Chakra is, well, self-explanatory lol.

The key, though not present in ever seal, is what is used to release the fuuinjutsu's effect and release the object sealed.

Understandable?

Excellent ^^

Now the fist two jutsus.

( Han'you Fūin ) - Generic Sealing Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary , Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: This technique is a standard ninja skill which allows a ninja to summon an assortment of items or weapons that have been stored using Fūinjutsu, typically they are stored within scrolls. When needed, the owner will activate the seals releasing their item or weapon of choice. Scrolls can also be used as ammunition for other weapons. The items themselves are unaffected by time. This Technique allows the user to seal any weapons they wish being their own or opponents.
Note: Cannot seal opponent's custom weapons, or the special weapons of a particular character ( example: Samehada or Kubikiribocho ).
Note: Can only seal corpses, and not injured people regardless of the extent of their injury.

You begin by writing a series of kanji on a scroll of your choice You then form the Kanji for SEAL in between the primary kanji. You then draw an item, we'll use another scroll this time, and place it in the middle of the seal and channel chakra while making a string of hand seals, varying to fit your own means. If done correctly, you should experience a poof of smoke and the item sealed within the scroll.

Now, that is the generic use of Sealing techniques to seal "matter". But the most versatile use of Fuuin is to seal Chakra AND matter. In this case we talk about the ability to seal and affect chakra and chakra flows. Draw the these kanji *shows a scroll with a bunch of them* on your scroll with the kanji for fire in the middle and do these handseals *shows* when you are ready, releasing your chakra into the scroll.

*a large candle pops into existance with a large flame burning on top of it*

As you do it correctly, a mist will escape the sealing scroll and engulf the flame, grabbing hold of it and pulling it inside the scroll, effectively sealing it within it.

( Ho/Mizu/Kaze/Tsuchi/Rai Houin ) - Fire/Water/Wind/Earth/Lightning Sealing Method
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: The user takes out a scroll, and writes the name of the element they wish to seal in it. They then make four handseals, and a vapour comes out of the scroll, envelops the technique they wish to seal and seals it back into the scroll.
Note: This technique can only seal one technique up to S-rank per usage
Note: This technique may be used only thrice

I take out a scroll and roll it out. Once I've done this I write a series of kanji signs on the scroll. While I do this I leave a bit of space so that I am able to write down the kanji for 'seal'. When I wrote everything down I take out another scroll and draw an item on it. I then place it in the middle of the scroll I wrote in kanji and start channelling my chakra into both of the scrolls whilst I perform a row of handseals. Once I finish the handseals I keep channelling my chakra into the scrolls and suddenly a poof of smoke appears as the sealing is complete.

I look at the kanji and start copying them onto my own scroll and once again put a kanji in the middle, this time it says 'fire'. Then I perform the handseals previously shown to me whilst focusing my chakra and once I'm done I release it into the scroll with the kanji on it. My target is the candle you created, and something that seems like a thick mist emerges from the sealing scroll and engulfs the flame. As it reaches the flame, it seems to get hold of it and drags it into the scroll whereafter it disappears and is sealed into the scroll.

Sorry this took so long but good job, any questions on those two?

If not, in the time it took me to reply the jutsu list has been updated for fuuin and as such, there have been several new ones here, notably the Barrier techniques have been moved to fuuinjutsu. You likely already learned them during your old ninjutsu training but still, just a refresher course then lol. The first three are all relatively easy and simple, easy to use but likewise easy to counter.

(Kekkai: Tengai Hojin) - Barrier: Dome Method Formation
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short- Mid
Chakra cost: 20 (- 10 per turn to keep active)
Damage points: N/A
Description: After clapping ones hands, this technique creates a spherical detection barrier above ground with the user at the center. At the user's command, the detection barrier can expand, grasping everything in the battle field. The user is able to detect anything that moves inside the barrier space with his or her own "sense".

As you see, it's easy and a nice jutsu to use for a few reasons, those reasons being 1. It's good if you have no type of sensory jutsu or ability and 2. It's good if you have no type of sensory jutsu or ability. Really, that's about it lol. There isn't much usage for this one as there are a few normal jutsus that give this same effect, such as Chakra sensing rain. And it's also easy to counter with one of the below fuuinjutsus. Questions?

(Kekkai Houjin) - Barrier Method Battle Array
Rank: B
Type: Attack
Range: Short
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: 40
Description: Kekkai Houjin is a high-level Fuuinjutsu trap technique. An array of explosive markers is jointly placed around the boundary of an area. If any opponent walks through the boundary, the seals will activate and explode.

This is actually somewhat good. You set up explosive seals around a boundary of an area, such as 4 kunai with explosive tags around them and throwing them around a 5 by 5 meter box in front of the enemy as they run into it. It leads to some creative uses, though it likewise is easy to counter. How would you counter this if used with kunais and if it's used on stationary markers, like boulders or trees?

(Kekkai Kireme no Jutsu) - Barrier Shatter Technique
Rank: B
Type: Supplementary
Range: Short - Mid
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: N/A
Description: The user will insert their chakra into a active barrier to then interfere with the source and cancel the barrier shattering its shell.
Note: Must make direct contact and only works with up to B rank barriers.

As you see, this one is very simple. If low ranking barriers are used against you, such as the first jutsu posted, this is the easiest and most efficient counter to them.

Sorry for my late reply as well sensei o:

How would you counter this if used with kunais and if it's used on stationary markers, like boulders or trees?
Do you mean as it is set up? Or as it detonates?
Assuming you mean the former I would probably use an earth jutsu to get them out of the way, by for example lowering the earth they are on, or letting them sink into a swamp. Otherwise fire could be used to light the markers on fire so that I can make them detonate before coming close. Those would probably be my first options :p

Yeah, I have learnt and taught those all before, so they are all too familiar to me :p
In other words, no questions ^^

Oh, then I don't have to go over the other barriers that were in the ninjutsu threads xD

(Fuuinjutsu: Kami Komyunikēshon) Sealing Arts: Scroll Communication technique
Type: Supplementary
Rank: B-Rank
Range: N/A
Chakra: 20
Damage: N/A
Description:
The user will create 2 or more scrolls with an embedded sealing formula that connects them all together. As such, anything written in one scroll will appear written in all the connected scrolls. A very useful communication technique, it can connect scrolls regardless of the distance between them. To activate the scroll, the user needs to perform a key of hand seals that will be unique for each creation and only known to those the user wishes, preventing the use of the scrolls by those the user doesn't allow.

Easily a jutsu that serves the NW better than battles, it can be used to send information over vast distances, from one village to another for instance. You perform a set of hand seals and any information written on the scrol will show on the twin scroll.

( Fūin Wana Bakuhatsu ) – Sealing Trap Explosion
Rank: B-Rank
Type: Offensive, Defensive
Range: Short
Chakra cost: 20
Damage points: 40
Description: The user places a seal on a chosen location which when an enemy target draws closer to the seal it will release itself in activation to the enemy’s chakra and cause an explosion.

One of my favorites, you place a seal that reacts to foreign chakra and explodes on contact with this chakra. By applying this seal to a weapon that you throw, you create an effective projectile jutsu, as it will cause a B rank explosion on detonation. It's a fairly safe way to use against most B ranks and below jutsu.

( Shikoku Mujin ) - Four Black Fog Battle Formation
Rank: B-Rank
Type: Supplementary
Range: Close
Chakra Cost: 20
Damage Points: N/A
Description: When the opponent is trapped inside a container of some sort, the user places five sealing tags, on each side of the container forming a rough pentagon shape. The opponent is then locked in suspended animation for one turn.
Note: If the opponent escapes the container or shatters it before all the tags are placed, he avoids the technique fully.

An incapacitating jutsu, after you have trapped the target in an container of sorts, which can be a sand coffin, earthen prison around them, etc. you place five tags on each side and it suspends the target for a turn.

Umm, do I have to perform them?
All the jutsus seem pretty straight forward to me, however I have one question about the first one. You say it is really useful in the NW, and I can see why, but how would you use it? I mean, how do you proof that the person you send the information to has the twin scroll or so? I think a lot of people would argue this...
