I'm sure that, soon enough, Sakura will do something critical to saving Sasuke, at the very least. The times he's trashed talked her recently, and insisted that only he and Naruto are relevant, is obviously just Kishi setting up to make Sasuke eat those words and realize the value of protecting all of one's friends.
