Assassin's Creed I - 12th century/Crusades (Year 1191)
Assassin's Creed II - 15th century/Renaissance (Year 1476)
Assassin's Creed Brotherhood - 15th century (continued)
Assassin's Creed Revelations - 15th century (continued/ended)
Assassin's Creed III - 18th century (Year 1754-1783)
Assassin's Creed IV - 18th century (Year possibly 1690-1700) (???)
Since Assassin's Creed I, Ubisoft has moved the franchise forwards in terms of history. Why is AC IV set before AC III?
The main character is Haytham's father which means he's Connor's grandfather.
What if Ubisoft is moving backwards for future games until we reach the arrival of the ones who came before? It seems possible seeing as there are so many important assassin's mentioned. What if we go backwards in time through the making of mankind? Birth of Christ, Julius Ceasar, Dark Ages and possibly even BC (before birth of Christ)
Maybe Adam & Eve started the Assassin order.
Honestly, Ubisoft is going to ruin the franchise if they release a new game annually and keep going forward until we reach the 21st century.
Who wants to see us play in a world of cars, skyscrapers and electronics? The reason I started playing AC was because of it's unique way of interpreting history. If they move us to modern times, they might as well rename Assassin's Creed to Grand Theft Assassin's or Grand Assassin's Auto.
