This may be a guess but in a recent interview posted by Radon a valid source it was said that Karin and Orochimaru's story would be told. Could this be told with the bolt and Sarada story? Sarada attacked by Karin through jealousy?

But this time alliance is doomed because oro made Edo hugohomo and kaguya his puppets too. However there's great restriction, so naruto still has a slight chance. In the meantime bolt train hard for the war and awaken bykangan. Now all bolt needs is to convince the beasts that he will be their new master
