Such poor ninja skills...is this what I have to work with ? A shinobi must be vigilant at all times, ready to engage in battle whatever the occasion. Its not completely your fault though, that technique was a near-perfect form of invisibility, impossible to counter under the right circumstances. Depending on how you perceive these next few words will determine how strong of a shinobi you will become. Awareness is key. No matter how strong any opponent is, if he or she has no knowledge of your next attack, they're probably done for. Knowledge is power. Being wary at all times and having the necessary skills to perceive all types of offensives are essential to your survival. That is why Wind Release is such a dangerous tool. It can be used for defensive and offensive purposes, such as infusing fuuton chakra into a kunai, or a shuriken to enhance it's range and cutting abilities, to helping you evade attacks by using air currents as a form of quick transportation.
When fighting against Raiton, Fuuton has an advantage in that it is a natural insulator, however, when fighting against a Katon style user, it is at a disadvantage in that it will fuel the fire, increasing the power of the enemy jutsu, this however, can be used to your advantage by combining fuuton chakra and fire chakra to create a much more powerful jutsu, wind style jutsu can also be used to deflect thrown weapons, or even create an ideal landscape for fighting.

Fundamentally, its the control over raw streams of electricity which can be tamed with the right control, it relates most to the Fire element due to its destruction if not contained or used properly and the high level of self-control someone requires to manipulate it correctly. One common misconception is that Lightning release travels as fast as natural lightning, when in reality Lightning is far slower than its naturally occurring counterpart due the user taking control of/taming the lightning. Water is the most calm and free-flowing elements. These characteristics dictate its nature, making it useful in combat due to the fluidity and intense lack of control that is required to utilize it. While its the calmest element, it can also become one of the most destructive. Putting a large amount of force behind of wave gives it power that can't be paralleled by all the other elements. In terms of scale, Water has the highest potential to be the "best" element, a clear testament of this is Kisame of the Akatsuki. Water comes in three main forms: normal water, sticky water and oily flammable water.

Earth Release is often considered the element of sturdiness and durability. Unlike other elements which come and go with time, it is an ever eternal presence in the environment which endures all types of weather regardless of how harsh conditions become. Earth can be used as a shield or blockade defensively to dissipate the force of powerful waves of water or non-cutting gusts of wind. It can withstand great heats, acting as a heat sink but also as a physical barrier to prevent weapons passing through. Its strong against water, its natural ability to prevent water from passing through it whilst passing through water itself is a reason for this. However its weak against lightning. The lightning conducted along the earth causes it to break up, lose its natural composition and break down due to the penetrative abilities of Raiton. Doton can either be used in this solid rocky form or its adhesive mud-like variant, granting the element further versatility. As well as the conventional uses of the element, the mud variant can be used to bind opponents in place, clash with other elemental jutsus or be used in many effective combinations. The mud-variant is most commonly used along with Fire to form pseudo-lava (molten mud), making for a very dangerous substance. Along with Suiton, its versatility stems from the state of matter it naturally occurs in. Due to having physical substance, Doton can be shaped into various structures from defensive walls to jagged spikes, from an earth dragon to a single pillar of earth. Furthermore, in terms of terrain-based advantage, Doton can be used to manipulate the ground beneath and around the opponent, allowing for limitless potential in creating successful combos. I like to think of the element as the perfect balance between offensive, defensive and supplementary usage, as no confines exist on what the user can create.

Its created through channeling Katon chakra to the user's lungs and exhaling the built chakra in various forms. Katon is most commonly used in its fire-based form, but it can also take the shape of a plume of superheated ash or a misty flammable gas. In terms of raw potential, its considered the least versatile element as it excels in offensive capabilities, lacks in supplementary usage and is ill-suited to use as a defensive element. Despite this, Katon is the most ferocious element to contend with due to its sheer raw power. The heat of the element makes it capable of reducing earthen structures to molten mud, the parasitic nature of it means it preys on the oxygen within wind-based attacks to supplement the flames and even against its elemental superior, large-scale Katon techniques are capable of reducing large bodies of water to scorching mist of dense steam. The Katon element has little usage outside of destruction, to a certain degree its the hardest elemental nature to tame due to its sporadic and uncontrollable nature.

(Fūton: Fūsajin no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Dust Wind Technique
Type: Defence
Rank: D

Description: The user creates a gust of wind that layers an area in loose sand and dust. Doing so also acts as a sandblaster on the surrounding area. This layer of sand that accumulates on the trees during this technique makes it difficult for others to get a good footing. The initial gust can also temporarily blind opponents by lodging sand in their eyes

I want you to come over here and begin focusing your fuuton chakra into the air around you to generate a gust of wind. Utilize the gust of wind to gather loose particles of dirt, sand and dust, accumulating enough to create a dust cloud capable of blocking the vision of enemy shinobi. The dust from the cloud can also potentially blind the opponent by lodging pieces of debris in their eyes.

Key Points: Pay close attention to every jutsu's range. This jutsu is short-ranged and won't travel very far. As a reference point, here's what the actual measurements are.

Short Range - 0 to 5 meters away from you
Mid Range - 5 to 15 meters away from you
Long Range - 15+ meters away from you

After the dust cloud subsides, I want you to jump up into the air and begin exhaling a constant stream of wind which allows you to change direction and move around effectively whilst in mid-air. To display your mastery of this technique, after gaining aerial elevation, angle your head in such a way so to constantly move in an "O" shaped loop, demonstrating your ability to continuously change direction with this technique.

Key Points: Much like the last technique, this one allows you to generate a dust cloud if its blown towards the floor. However, the more important thing I'd like to mention about this technique is its one of the most useful lower ranking techniques in the rp, if not the most useful. People tend to use this as a straightforward push backwards, when in reality you can decide on so many different flight paths e.g. a "C" shaped flight path, an "O" shaped flight path and even an "S" shaped flight path. So make sure to be creative with this technique.

Also, some people tend to forget that you need to be in the air to use this technique. So either use it in mid-air or jump up and then use it.

Ok! I've got this, you watch, Kakuzu, I'll get this one in 1 shot!

"I stand where you direct me to and begin focusing my chakra into the air, in an area about 5 meters either direction of me, as I do this I can feel the dust and other small grains of rock, and sand being pushed into the air and away from me, but not enough. I focus even more chakra and release it all in one fluid movement, and the dust/sand is instantly blown outward into the air forming a blinding wall of dust and on to the surrounding trees, and also onto Kakuzu's cloak/mask."

Opps! I didn't mean to get you!, but I did it!

As I wait for the dust to subside, I begin gathering wind chakra in my mouth/body, as soon as the dust cloud disperses, I jump into the air and exhale a large amount of wind infused air from my mouth, first gaining elevation, and then tilting my head to as to curve around in an 90 degree angle, I do this again once I've finished my turn so that I'm effectively turning in a large loop, but still maintaining height. Once I've done a few loops, I cease the flow of wind chakra and fall lithely to the ground and sit down in front of you again, ready to be taught more.

"Wow, that was AWESOME~!, are all Fuuton techniques going to be so fun, sensei?"

For this next technique, I want you to create a huge stream of wind towards the rock pile over there *Points to rock pile*. In turn, the rocks will lift the opponent into the air. Whilst the opponent is suspended in the air, you will use the rocks to hit them repeatedly.

Key Points: Terrible description really. I see this technique getting misused/misinterpreted most times out of ten, since there's no clarity in the way its written.

It can also be used against taijutsu close range attacks, but the wall can be pushed back with a stronger wind jutsu or if a smoke bomb or explosive tag touches the spinning wind they will automatically get activated because of the sharpness of the wind element, damaging the user also.

Hence afterwards, I want you to create a wall of spinning wind directly in front of you capable of pushing back small tools and thrown weapons. Use this technique to defend against my attack, doing so incorrectly may result in your own death *gives student a serious look before throwing two normal kunai towards you and behind that a single explosive kunai*.

Key Points: Not a bad technique, though its limited to low-level defensive use.

-That first Jutsu really needs to be touched up in the description, it's baaaaad.-

- After you're done explaining the jutsu, and what to do with them, I begin kneading chakra into my stomach/Mouth and blow a large amount of Fuuton chakra infused wind towards the pile or rocks, the rocks are about 10 metres from me ( as the jutsu is Short/mid meaning 5-15 metres, right? ). As the large stream of wind hits the rocks where the opponent would be standing, the rocks are thrown into the air, once they are a fair distance from the ground, I begin to manipulate my chakra so as to hurl the rocks at one another, which would result in many broken bones or death if they made contact.

'That one was a bit harder!, I think I'll take a break befo-
-I stop as you throw 3 kunai towards me, one is behind the other 2 and seems to have an exploding tag attached to it, remembering what you just told me, I quickly knead fuuton chakra into my mouth ( Does it come out of the mouth? It doesn't explain where the Jutsu is cast from, but I'd assume the mouth, right?, I'm not so sure how to use this technique, as it says ' A wall of spinning wind'. Is the walls spinning direction up to me? Can I have it spin to the right/left on command?) and exhale a large amount of chakra infused wind, creating a large wall of spinning wind, but instead of trying to block all the attacks with it, I simply deflect the 2 kunai at the front towards the last one, with the explosive tag, back towards you, but at a safe enough distance as to not effect you in any way.

Now with your completion of D-Ranks, we're going to discuss handseals before moving on. After learning completing each rank, I'm going to have some more information to bestow upon you. This will allow you to grow in strength as well as knowledge and by the time our training is over, you'll be a fully fledged shinobi.

This time around, the topic is handseals.

Handseals are a method used to focus, control and mold chakra for certain techniques. Some techniques require a large amount of chakra to be utilized whilst others need extreme control or shape manipulation. Both of these can be achieved through the use of handseals. The number of handseals is often dependent on the scale and shape manipulation required, as shown when Zabuza's Water bullet required eighteen or so handseals to simply prepare. However, those who attain completely mastery of their most favoured elemental affinity can often perform all techniques of that element with a single handseal, Tobirama being a prime example of this. What you can get from this is, techniques which are noticeably harder to control can be aided in their usage through handseals. Also, you must in your descriptions always state you use the handseals before you gather/focus your chakra.

(Fūton: Reppūshō) - Wind Release: Gale Palm
Rank: C

Description: A simple technique that when the users hands are clapped together, wind is compressed and transformed into a powerful gale. This technique, when used as an isolated attack has the power to easily knock over a human. Though the true value comes from using it together with projectile weapons like shuriken or kunai. Their speed, power, and ability to wound or even kill are all increased several times.

First off, I'd like you to retrieve some shurikens from your ninja pouch before tossing them towards my clone in quick succession. After doing so, clap your hands together whilst leaking out your fuuton chakra to compress the air and transform it into a powerful gale, sending it towards your shuriken. The sharp wind will augment the speed, power and ability to wound and kill.

Key Points: Not a bad technique, however the range means its use only lies in close combat.

-As I jump back from where I was listening to you, I sharpen my normal chakra, creating wind based chakra for the upcoming jutsu. As I'm flying backwards, I take 4 shurkien from my pouch and throw them towards your clone in a large arc. I then Clap my hands over my chest and release the built up Wind chakra, creating a powerful gale. This Gale further speeds up the weapons on their way to you, but it also augments them with wind chakra.

I then jump upwards, and release a huge stream of air from my mouth to gain tremendous height, as I fly up, I turn into a backflip, so that several shuriken spill from my pouch, As they fall, I augment my wind chakra into them, and create a wall of wind energy around them, allowing me to guide them in rings around me, and they fly off towards the target in quick succession.

(Fūton: Kaze Ogawa no Jutsu) - Wind Release: Wind Stream Technique

Description: This technique allows the user to change direction in mid-air at high speeds by simply blowing wind out their mouth. The user can also use this technique by blowing it at the ground and causing a dust cloud to rise, concealing the users location and movement.

After the dust cloud subsides, I want you to jump up into the air and begin exhaling a constant stream of wind which allows you to change direction and move around effectively whilst in mid-air. To display your mastery of this technique, after gaining aerial elevation, angle your head in such a way so to constantly move in an "O" shaped loop, demonstrating your ability to continuously change direction with this technique.

The wind created is strong enough to push the opponent back or create 2 inch deep slashes to his body, however the user cannot direct slashes.

Alright, I want you to come over here and stand alongside me. Perform this short sequence of handseals whilst gathering a sizable amount of Fuuton chakra to your lungs and exhaling it in the form of a sharp gust of wind towards those nearby stuffed dummies. Keep your focus on the gust the entire time, using intense concentration and the aid of the handseals you're performing to give it minor cutting capabilities, allowing it to cut two inches deep into the human body. If you do this correctly, the thin layer of material covering the stuffed dummies should tear enough to reveal the stuffing inside.

Key Points: Quite the basic jutsu. Just remember, you can't control the slashes the tornado inflicts, its a random process. This means you can't say that you use this technique to slice through specific arteries, veins and blood vessels in order to make it fatal. Instead, simply state that the attack leaves you with small non-fatal slashes all over your body.

(Fūton: Daitoppa) - Wind Release: Great Break Through

A variation of the technique involves a smaller blast of wind which gets ignited with flame.

In quick succession, I want you to perform four handseals before channeling your Fuuton chakra to your lungs once again. Compress the built chakra before releasing it as a gust of wind towards the airborne dummies, knocking them far into the distance before they land on the ground. This will test your accuracy, timing and execution of techniques. It will also force you to improve your handseal speed, adding a further element of challenge to the task.

Key Points: Nothing special here.

I try my best ^_^

As I stand facing the dummies, I begin weaving hand seals whilst kneading chakra into my lungs. I then release this wind chakra in the form of a large gust of wind towards the dummies, making sure that it will cut them, but not slice them into bits. The result is several dummies flying into the air with several 2 inch gashes all over them, at random places.

This will test your accuracy, timing and execution of techniques.

Key Points: None, just a plain old sphere of wind which repels anything it hits.

(Fūton: Kamikaze) - Wind Release: Divine Wind

Damage Points: 30 (+10 if used with a fire technique)
Description: The user releases a gust of wind after forming the Ram handseal, that forms several small tornadoes. Combined with Fire Release: Running Fire that forms a circle on ground level, this creates a massive flaming hurricane.

For this one, perform the Ram handseal to form several small tornadoes in front of your position before sending them towards the my clone. If you know the technique Fire Release: Running Fire, I'd like you to use this jutsu straight afterwards to form a burning circle of flames around my clone, effectively surrounding him. However, if you don't know the technique my clone will assist you, performing it in conjuction with your usage of this technique.

Key Points: Too generic for my liking. Some people tend to assume these tornadoes form around the opponent, when in reality, they're created near the user's position and sent towards the opponent.

(Fūton: Kami Oroshi) - Wind Release: Godly Wind From The Mountain

Description: This technique after performing the required hand seals Tiger → Snake → Ram creates a vortex of wind to blast at a target. It can be used in a combo with Fire Release: Running Fire and Earth Release: Earth Corridor to release a massive inferno at the opponents while they are trapped within the confined space of the earth

Once again, a jutsu that can be used in conjunction with Running Fire. This perform the following sequence of handseals to create vortex of wind before blasting it towards my clone who's currently trapped in the ground-level prison of fire. *Clone tosses a few explosive tagged kunai out of desperation towards you*. Use the vortex of wind to intercept his kunai and deflect them back towards him, meaning should he continue in detonating it, he'll kill himself.

Key Points: None, a very basic technique.
