Furuta has to be on par with Arima and Kaneki

He never carries around a quinque and I don't think he has a kagune. It can only mean he is totally confident that he can go toe to toe with anyone. Despite the suicidal vibe he gives off, I don't think he would wants to die in the basement of Cochlea and without a quinque or kagune, Kaneki should be able to just blitz him and bam! no more Furuta.
He's either got super regenerative abilities like Uta and Noro or super strength combined with super dexterity and perhaps even both. You must admit, walking around defenseless makes no sense in this sort of world so he has to have some ace up his sleeve.

Every one from garden is shown to be super human so i wouldn't be surprised if he is a part of some sort of experiment.

whatever the case, Kaneki is going to ass rape him if furuta tries anything funny. I think most ppl are underestimating how savage Kaneki can be. So furuta coming up to him thinking that he can stop ken.....he's going to find out the hard way.

Though I think Kaneki is Arima's equal, he is not mentally prepared to unleash hi full potential against the white reaper. Keneki is anticipating his death by the hands of Arima, therefore Kaneki he won't be able to go all out. Something needs to occur to set Kaneki in a battle state of mind, and I think Furuta will be the one to mentally stabilize Kaneki. I think Furuta is going to die; I hope Hinami doesn't die in what might be one of the greatest confrontations in TG.

I would say he is on par with Hairu.
In any case, I think Kaneki will destroy him and wipe his smirk off his face.

I think that people forget that V's organization does solely rely on power. Rize was also supposed to be a part of the garden and even though she was proven strong, she was nowhere near that SSS level. Ι think that Furuta is a master of deception, Arima could not possibly have these skills, it's not all about the power.

Furuta is more of a devious character, I believe he may ask kenaki to gave him the tape recording because he probably knows kaneki wants to die, and then at the moment kaneki will have a choice to destory everything eto has worked for by giving furuta the tape, therefore giving him the upper hand on eto or keeping the tape and freeing eto. Kaneki will have to pick between dying or a revolution.
