from what we know so far rikodou sennin had 2 sons the eldest got his eyes and the youngest got his body. these split and through generations developed the uchiha and the senju clan. the uzumaki clan are jus a distant relatives of the senju thats all. karuma helps him heal and he gets his speed and strength from his parents i guess

This chapter kinda proved naruto senju blood is REALLLY THIN.....

Madara looked at tsunade and could tell she was a senju somehow,
Yet the very same madara fought shortly with naruto and said nothing about it... just that he was "something else" ....

Kabuto in Muu form told Madara that The boy was Naruto Uzumaki, to that Madara said Mito's clan with reverence in His voice look it up in the Manga, also prior to that when Naruto put down with Rasengan/clone army Madara's tree attack,Madara complimented Naruto and getting Madara to compliment you, you must be something. If anything the Uchiha/ Senju blood line is the thin out one not the Uzumaki.
