for you question: you post the link of the video between these:

[YOUTUBE ][ /YOUTUBE] -(delete the spaces first of course)- or

hit the small utube icon above your reply box, then paste the link.

also click on "preview post" instead of "submit reply" to make sure it works

Yes it is an option located in your profile:
User CP -> Edit Option> scroll down to the bottom of the page and at the Message Editor Interface select the "Standard Editor- Extra Formatting Tools" option.
