Fun fact: The anime has not touched chapter 700

I was just thinking about this. Naruto Shippuden ended with Naruto and Hinata's wedding. In terms of material that actually was in the manga, Shippuden had the narrator voice say those final lines about "the boy and the fox spirit sealing away the juubi" (and all of that stuff). Those lines were the only thing from chapter 700 that Shippuden covered. All the stuff with the next generation was not shown (ie Boruto defacing the hokage monument and other stuff). The Boruto anime has yet to cover this stuff either.

Do you think Boruto (anime) will actually cover this stuff? I just wanted to point this out. Chronologically, I believe the events of chapter 700 should be coming up soon.

Hinata would have to have long hair again but she doesn't in Boruto the movie
Kakashi and Gai would be heading off to the Hotspring tour with Asuma's daughter
Sarada would have to little again but we are literally approaching Gaiden in a few weeks that is prior to becoming a Genin

other then the ??? of them being in the academy everything basically already came to pass (as in it is too late to do it)

plus in Gaiden they showcase that chapter 700 summit were Sasuke talks about his mission to the Kages

Even the academy looks like the old academy we saw in Naruto then this up scale new academy we have in Boruto

Chapter 700 was just introducing the new generation . Now there's no need for that

I don't think 700 did anything worth adapting on it's own. Just gave us glimpses of the new gen which the anime already did in a far more interesting fashion.
