Full Burst on PC - how do I use a gamepad?

Yeah, so I got this game and it works really good for an X360 port, well done on that.

But I have a problem with using gamepad as a controller.
I tried using the keyboard but it's not the same when you're already used to pad controls.

Basically, I have my gamepad connected to the computer (USB), but the game's desktop menu does not seem to see it. Apart from keyboard, all possible controlling devices are greyed-out and written to be "disconnected".

Any ideas on that?

Depends on what gamepad you use, make sure it's PC compatible. ( Xbox 360 wireless controllers require a special reciever ). Then find the driver for your controller ( usually on the manufacturer's website ) and see if it works.

If its a console controller, you need specific software(s) to run the game with it, if its a gamepad designed for PC or Mac, then im not really sure whats the issue here.

It's a standard PC gamepad. Not a PlayStation one, not an Xbox one, just an USB pad like the ones you can buy pretty much anywhere.

I see, I also use a PC gamepad and mine just installed itself right away, since the driver software is usually either stored in the USB or automatically grabbed from the internet.

(Assuming you're running Windows) did anything pop up after you plugged it in for the first time? Because you may need to manually install the driver software.

No, not really. Actually, the controller worked fine for some other games before Full Burst (though not all if I remember correctly), so I really have no idea what's the issue here.

If that helps somehow, my pad is Saitek P380.

Get an Xbox 360 controller a wired one and hook it up. It should work outta the box after it syncs.

You mean in the desktop menu? Doesn't work - all controllers apart from "Keyboard" are greyed-out and said to be "disconnected", even though I clearly have my pad connected.

And if you mean control menu in-game, it is the same as in the Xbox/PS version, so you can't change controller type there.

If your gamepad currently works for other games, then you could use something like Xpadder and just map your way around.

Pfff..i am using motionjoy gamepad in my pc and i can even use a psp for controller...download this programme and the controller you add will be recognised in almost any game!

Motionjoy is the worst thing that I ever installed on my PC. Use this way it's much better and I can use my controller wirelessly with it:
